| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lol, the rat is a pretty unique creature, huh? "Not that I'm bragging, but I was #1 at school!" How come that Sugimoto bitch can suddenly converse with people and they can understand her? Oversight by anime director? I would hope the novel would explain this. I really want Yoko to kill that annoying dude who keeps hovering around her. But hey, at least his annoying appearences have a purpose: Yoko's losing it. Giggling while charging into a fight? Yeah, losing it. These past few episodes have really packed in a lot of geopolitical information that's almost incomprehendable at times. I hope they keep repeating places, names; and show the map numerous times until by the time I get to episode 30 I know it all by heart! |

| Ahh, I think I know why she can talk with them. Its because the thing they put in her eyes like with Yoko. So it enables them to fight and speak the language. That's what I'm going with anyway. :D |

| <3 Rakushun Nah, Yuka talked to the woman with the wolf youma before she got the hinman. So my guess is the woman is a wiz and casted a spell on Yuka, probably like Kikei did with Youko (and it probably involves physical contact too). Am I the only one thinking the evil blue dude is the spirit of the sword, or trapped in the sword? Can't wait for Youko to get her confidence back and laugh at him. |

| rakushun!!! it's too bad youko has gone through too many betrayals to trust him tho. she seems like shes losing it a little...which is pretty understandable considering what she's gone through (i'd be going crazy too!). |

| I laughed when Yuka got 'disposed.' Karma's a bitch lmao. I hope Rakushun stays as Yuka's confidant for the rest of the series. He's so likable and probably the only sensible person (besides his mom) in that country. Youko is now a bit mentally unstable but hey she's starting to think for herself. She may be a bit insane right now but that's definitely development :3 |

| Interestingly enough the track that play's at the very end of the episode sounds a lot like a prominent track on the first Drakengard game for PS2. The composer isn't the same so i wonder if the Drakengard team made a nod to this series. Wouldn't be too surprising considering that Drakengard game has a very similar vibe going on. |

| Hahahahaha @ Yuka. That's what you get. It's not enough though. She needs to die, and we need to see it. The rat's kind of cool. First likeable character in the series. I think I prefer crazy Youko. At least she doesn't whine as much. |
| I was really reluctant to start this series due to Youko's ridiculous tanning on the cover but it wasn't that bad in the actual anime, thank god. |

Kaikyakuu can't speak the local language unless they have a hinman, or they learn the language (which is covered later in the series). Youko is a special case though, which should be covered by the end of this arc if I remember correctly. | Question: if children are plucked as fruit, then what was the purpose of the brothel in one of the earlier episodes? Hell, I'm questioning how anatomy works in this world, but it's probably not too significant of a detail, so I won't pursue that thought any further. It's still an oddity though. |

| Sugimoto is one of the most annoying anime characters ever. Youko has started to change. But both her naive and cynical versions seem so lonely. I just wish we could see her with someone she can really trust instead of pretending to trust. |

| ah, ah. youko is so tired and worn out both mentally and physically... for some reason, that mouse just by appearance alone looks mountains above trustworthy than everyone we've met so far. LITERALLY everyone. a freaking mouse. i wonder if the sword that she carries is the reason for this guy appearing? like that *is* the sword's spirit? at this point, it's almost as if she's developed schizophrenia, except it's real. i can't believe rakushun went with youko to accompany her to en, even leaving his mother behind... he is already my favorite character, besides youko. he's so unbelievably kind, i hope he doesn't get killed or else i'm gonna fight somebody. |

| Rat = best boy so far. For that reason I'm kinda worried that something bad will happen to him. Youko is gradually changing, not necessarily in a good way, mind you. But ngl, her heading into battle like a savage has it's charm xD |
