| the agri sector has really been taking a beating add the fact that as countries further industrialize, agriculture gets lesser and lesser attention since there is now somewhat of a shift to industry, manufacturing and the like. so people tend to invest more in those sectors rather than in agriculture, i.e. improving farming practices, making more land area suitable for farming, improving farming technology, etc. with the steady decline in farmers (at least in third world places like my country, for instance), food shortage (at least for certain crops) is highly possible |
