If you don't mind unusual art style
Mononoke & Kuuchuu Buranko are
the best anime I can recommend,
but if you happen to prefer something
more classic, then take a look at these:

Monster
Elfen Lied
Psycho-Pass
Death Parade
Bokurano
Serial Experiments Lain
Shinregai: Ghost Hound
Zankyou no Terror
Boku dake ga Inai Machi
Steins;Gate
Perfect Blue
(movie)
Jin-Roh (movie)

You could try Btooom. Its sort of like a survival game. If i remember correctly, there was definitely a psychological aspect since the players all tried to outwit and kill each other. It was pretty intense. Oh ya,just a warning,i think there were some...uh...disturbing scenes. But other than that,it was pretty thrilling.

If you want something a little different from most psychological anime try Kuuchuu Buranko. It is an anime about psychology. Its a doctor solving the psychological problems of his patients.

Other than that I would recommend:
- Monster (I think the manga is better)
- Gankutsuou
- Evangelion

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (Movie)
Even though it's not tagged Psychological it should be IMO.

However, it's not stand-alone: you need to watch the preceding TV series to get to know the characters beforehand. Also, a multitude of references are made to events from the TV series and these will fly right over your head otherwise.

TV series (watch first):
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya -- And skip the middle six episodes of the Endless Eight arc when you get to it (see Episode List).
Avatar: Anzu Kadotani from Girls und Panzer.

Saikano has a lot of crying.

Denpa-teki na Kanojo is fairly twisted.
