Process is ongoing right now. So far... it's not looking so good for Hillary. Hacker turned himself in and will be used to aid the investigation. Hillary can no longer deny that her private servers were not hacked. She might get indicted at this rate.

"It actually implies the opposite of what you're saying--that she did do something wrong. And that this mitigates, it lessens, it dampens that wrongdoing; it doesn't even out. If you rob a bank and you return the money, it's a mitigating aspect, but that doesn't mean you didn't rob the bank."

I really hope she has to face justice for things she has done but I know her money and influence (and support by ignorant women and minorities) will make that difficult. If it were a Republican he would be burning at a stake by now.

Bush and Cheney prove otherwise.

Highlights of the report:

1) Clinton absolutely violated State Department regulations that were in place specifically to support federal records keeping laws.

2) Clinton absolutely talked about personal privacy as a concern and reason she eschewed a State Department email address.

3) Contrary to assertions from the Clinton campaign, she did not seek, let alone get, approval from the relevant officials for her email setup. Those offices are on the record that they would not have approved it if she'd asked, and would have instead offered her other alternatives.

4) She was absolutely supposed to print and deliver hard copies of her emails regularly, or at a bare minimum, turn them all over before leaving office.

5) Underlying problems were systemic in the State Department, and go back decades. It has overall been slow to adopt to modern communications and record keeping norms. And, as her campaign asserts, did not fix key problems until after she left office. Similarly, and related, she is not the only Secretary of State to commit violations.

6) However, the most notable other private email user (and violator), Colin Powell, provided information about it to authorities Clinton chose not to consult. And, unlike Clinton, he did not use it exclusively, used it less frequently, and also had a legitimate reason to use a private email - the State Department system at the time could not send emails to non-State Department addresses.

7) 4 Secretaries of State were interviewed. Clinton was the only one to refuse. Her top aides also all refused to allow themselves to be interviewed. Nobody else acted as if they had something to hide.

8) Employees in charge of technology and records at the State Department have stated that there was a strong drive from senior officials to suppress all complaints and concerns regarding Clinton's setup, including providing false assurances that she'd gotten the go-ahead.

9) The server Clinton used is stated to have been shut down in early 2011 due to . . . problems with hackers. This was not reported to the relevant authorities.

All told, the facts as presented by this investigation are pretty damning. However, appeasers will focus like a laser on #5 and try and pretend the others are all irrelevant because of it.
