Viz License for Cross Game anime

I remember back when watching new episodes as they came out of Cross Game subtitled in English through Viz Media's anime site (if I remember correctly they had some sort of streaming partnership with Hulu in the U.S.). Now some years later I can't seem to find the series legally with English subtitles. Anyone curious or know what happened? I wonder if Viz's license for the anime maybe expired, or it was just so unpopular that they removed it. I'm not getting my hopes up for a physical release (I would totally buy it though), but it'd be nice to have a digital option or site to stream it again. I know there are plenty of other sites to watch anime on, but I really enjoy watching series with the licensed, localized subtitles or dub. Something I thought I'd throw out to the interwebs here I guess. Perhaps Viz killed the anime :-/
