What an emotional episode! Probably my favorite episode thus far. I was almost on the verge of tearing up and the group dynamic of the Kiznaivers is amazing. I love seeing all the members getting closer to one another ;)

Also, according to photo from Nori-chan, Katsuhira apparently used to have brown hair before the Kiznaiver experiment. Could it be that the rest of the kids from (what I assume to be) the original Kiznaiver experiment died or the experiment simply failed? Any speculations? I predict it was because the kids that they experimented on beforehand were too young and something went wrong during the process. That is why the new experiment uses a batch of much older teenagers for the experiment to build upon their old mistakes.

I think they were part of an experimental group that left them without feelings. Kacchon stated that he feels no pain and Sonozaki doesn't seem to have any emotions at all.

This was a pretty cool episode, at the right time no less. I was afraid Kiznaiver would go downhill, but thankfully they stopped that with Honoka arc.

If next week gives us TengaxChidori, this anime will be top.

Maki's development was fucking amazing. She knew though that she loved Ruru and it still hurt a lot.

I love Maki even though she is a bitch.

Also did anyone else notice Katsuhira's hair is turning brown? It looked like he had brown hair when Sonozaki looked at that picture as well. Maybe he's reverting back to "normal"...whatever that is. They really never explain why he can't feel. Hopefully we get that before the show ends.

QE: "Me to...Ruru" Damn also talking about loving her smile...frigging really moved me.

Macking... hehe... Nico's crying face is cute and I like Yuta x Maki as well as Tenga x Chidori.

Its funny watching them attempt to be friends when non of them have any decent experience in making friends normally. The music when it started raining was really nice, oh and YUTA'S RUN INTO THE OCEAN. Gosh that looked stupid, and he didn't even make it that far.

Well Maki's whole arc was pretty damn underwhelming to me, maybe we can now move on to someone with more interesting personality instead like Tenga or masochist-kun. Kinda weird seeing this slow pace and how much focus Maki got with this anime only having 12 eps and now we only got 5 episodes left for the rest of the Kiznaivers which I doubt will get enough individual character development.

I really wonder if they have a second season in mind with the pacing of the episodes. Do original animes tend to get more than one season or is it usually open and close?

For once, the episode was also poignant addition to being fun, the narrative flowing smoothly to the end, I liked it a lot. The screenplay has done its job well, I do not think there are mistakes. The drawings and animations, they were great the same for the set designers. The friend Maki, Ruru, was really a good character, Maki did not deserve such a friend, his motives, were petty and cowardly.
Nice OST.

I assume that maybe something bad happen in the past with the old batch of Kizuna experiment.
I wouldnt say Noriko literally lose her emotion since she she really thought of what Katsuhira told her = " im very dissapointed in you"
and the fact what happened to Honoka seems quite similar to how she felt (can she feel)?

and when she mentioned this, clearly she might still remember of what happened in the past.

Im still wondering why she is so determine to continue the experiment if she knows whats gonna happen to them (assuming something bad happened in her past)

oh boy i hope its not just because some petty thing, like - she survive the suicide (looks like she tryin to in the 1st eps) and want katsuhira to remember and feel bad about it.

Episode was okay. Idk how plot progression is defined in this series but perhaps if it means to strengthen the bond between each of them then i assume there'll be episodes for every character where he has to overcome his heartache. In this regard the episode fulfilled it's purpose.

DAT yuri scene tho....didn't see that coming. overall, it was predictable but i can still feel the emotion. i almost cried tho xD i got the same feeling like Your lie in April the final episode. really sad somehow. and i must say, it was pretty well executed for the conclusion imo even tho it was predictable. not great, but pretty good.....

and now! time for the romance xD Tenga, Nico, Chidori, Katsuhira and Sonozaki. 5 more episode. i wonder how they will pull it all off in 5 episode....i hope they ain't gonna rush things....and even the main plot is still left in the darkness. it's still a mystery.....i seriously hope they ain't gonna rush it.

looking foward for the next episode. i think next episode will get started from Tenga XD

I really liked how the person arcs were handled alongside the kiznaiver project on the background. the weight is distributed just well - I never guessed Maki would be so central to this series, but it ended up being perfectly harmonic.

I really think this is a good drama with enough humor to lighten the mood up + amazing visuals. I can see why it's not someone's cup of tea, but I'm enjoying this so much.

Also, so far it's been impossible to call where this show is heading. the direction is quite original and dynamic, which is key.

That was probably the best episode so far. Really liked the yuri. A bit bitter as Ruru is dead but the feelings were mutual and Honoka accepting her feelings at the end made it more fulfilling. Tho I can't believe that she still thinks she made the right choice back then.

The ost with the rain coming down was the best part and their group dynamic was a nice sight to see. All in all this was a satisfying episode.

This episode was handled as well as it could've been: none of the awkward lines that usually bog down the show, strong character development and interactions, perfect balance between dramatic and comedic moments, and one of the sweetest (and thanks to Yuta's chicken run one of the most hilarious) resolutions of the whole season. God Bless the director of this anime, because this episode was full of marvellous shots and pieces of animation.

Even if Kiznaiver goes back to being dull next week, this episode alone (as well as the hope to get another one of this level before the end of its run) makes me glad i didn't give up on it too early.

This anime is so different from what we are used to see yet it feels so good when you watch an episode.
She thought all that time that Ruru had cursed her but now, she simply told her "if it's hard for you to remember me, then simply forget me"... :/
I'm glad that her problem has been solved.
They actually look good together ;)
It seems that Sonozaki was also a member of the Kiznaiver program.

What a good Emotional/Dramatic episode centered by Maki!
Niiyama is such a cry baby!
So many yuri vibes! from Ruru & Maki
It's really fun having Tenga around with them!
Yuta primarily helped with the problem of Maki.
LOL at Yuta's Kyojin run!
LOL at Hisomu! forcedly dragged by Tenga to swim!
and then Maki finally smiles and laughed because they are so serious while covered in seaweed!

I hate the Maki x Yuta shipping, worse pairing ever. I'd much rather ship Maki with Ruru or no one at all. One of her charms is being independent and not your typical anime female character who just ends up being someone's bitch.

That picture on Nori-chan's desk was the most interesting part of this episode. I think we caught a glimpse of the green-haired girl with her bike while it was raining.

I know he watches it raw. I was just calling him out for his blatant homophobic comment and stating that there were no vibes but that what he saw was actually a ~thing~ because Stark tries to avoid shows with anything gay in it.

Somehow Maki's story didn't 'connect' with me, probably seeing similar plot elsewhere also like pushing her away coz of not wanting to get hurt or ruru-chan didn't left a 'nasty' message for her farewell letter. Still she seems to be more appreciative of her now fellow kiznaivers.

Also lol'd at Yuta's running........

A very interesting point with Sonozaki - a picture speaks better than words. Although I previously knew that she and Katsuhira familiar, and may even be associated. I guess, this story line will be open in next episodes.

But for me the main value of this episode was Honoka Maki. Her story touched me, and tears went by themselves. So it turned out. Also, thanks to this character, I was able to realize something, and it's nice in the context of the anime. And it is this - the anime really got to me.

Although, to be honest, I with the first episode of this anime made me think and feel. And by seventh to surrender. I like it. And these are the characters I like, I empathize with them, to everyone.

I want to watch the following episodes. And Yes, Honoka in favorite characters.
May be some anime?
