 Hello beloved members of Ethereal Realm, we have a very exciting announcement to announce. (ﾉ^ヮ^)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ We will be starting the Graphics Tournament on 1st July Staff as well as members may participate in this tournament. :::::Ethereal Realm Card Design Tournament (Summer 2016):::::  In this tournament, participants will need to post at least three card to be eligible. You can enter up to five cards, but no more. This tournament will involve rounds. In each round, two competitors will show off their graphics and members will vote on which graphics is the best. The winning competitors will then move on to the next rounds until there is only one winner.  1. Include the text: "Ethereal Realm" 2. Include the text: "Username"  The winner of the tournament can get these prizes: 1st Place • 100 points • • Obtain +1 Cards in any card edition from any card maker and it will last 4 of his/her edition • • Able to open their own card shop with the name of their shop labelled in the card. The layout of his or her shop will be made by the layout maker, so you don't need to design the layout of your shop. Click HERE to see the initial template of the shop (can be modified as requested by the winner in the future). The shop will be put in a specialized thread accessible from the main club page • • 1st Place badge indicating the winner of the contest • 2nd Place • 80 points • • Obtain +1 Cards in any card edition from any card maker and it will last 3 of his/her edition • • 2nd Place badge indicating the 2nd winner of the contest • 3rd Place • 50 points • • 3rd Place badge indicating the 3rd winner of the contest • The rest of participants in general • 20 points •  Name: Your design theme (Describe what you want to express in these designs based on your selected themes.) Card Designs: (put under Spoiler Buttons)  The winner of each round is determined mostly by the members' evaluations through vote. However judges also play the role in determining the winner and has the right to choose the winner in an unbiased manner. Both the judge and members should use the format below in grading the design: (the grade should range from 0 to 10) Overall Design Contextuality: This criterion conceptually evaluates how the design match the description of the theme. A good designer should be able to creatively design an art work that match with the specified concept or the theme. In this particular Summer 2016, the theme is not determined and thus designer has the freedom to choose the theme. But in the future contest we may choose the theme for the tournament. Images and Effects: This criterion evaluates how the image selection and effects are incorporated together. This may involves coloring and formal composition, utilization of static image or animated gif, and so on. Border Design: This criterion evaluates how the border is designed and incorporated into the overall layout of the design. Text Styling and Positioning : This criterion evaluates how the text is incorporated into the design layout and how the style of the text match the theme.   For each battle, participant is allowed to enter new design to be used for the fight. 1. PRELIMINARY TOURNAMENT: Member give score (from 1 to 5) to each of the Card that Participant submit during the registration of the tournament. Maximum number of cards are 5 cards. Selection Method: Take 8 participant with the highest SUM OF THE SCORE from the N number of cards to be included into the MAIN TOURNAMENT. 2. MAIN TOURNAMENT: Participant can choose 1 of their card to be used for the Main Tournament. 3. SECONDARY TOURNAMENT: This is for participant Lost in the FIRST ROUND of MAIN TOURNAMENT. Selection Method: Take 2 of the highest score in PRELIMINARY TOURNAMENT, discard the other participants. The winner moves to TERTIARY TOURNAMENT. 4. TERTIARY TOURNAMENT: This is for participant Lost in the SECOND ROUND of MAIN TOURNAMENT. Selection Method: Take 1 of the highest score in PRELIMINARY TOURNAMENT to be fought with each other with the winner in SECONDARY TOURNAMENT. The winner move to QUARTENARY TOURNAMENT 5. QUARTENARY TOURNAMENT: This is for participant Lost in the THIRD ROUND of MAIN TOURNAMENT to be fought with each other with the winner in TERTIARY TOURNAMENT. | @iizaninja @Exo_x @xyenne @Visceras Round 2 of the Main Tournament will begin in 5 days, please choose a card you would like to submit for round 2, you may submit the one you used in the previous round or you can make a completely new card. The deadline is in 2 days (15th Sept). If there's no submission then the staff will choose a card accordingly. When submitting a card (whether it be a previous card or new card) please label it For Main Tournament Round 2 with the card under a spoiler. |
