I think that difference warrents its own entry, since multiple anime have an extra episode released on the last volume. And these anime also have their own seperate entry for it. |

Dubious male relationships run amok in many fujioshi-targeted shows (look at Hetalia, for example) but imo shounen ai shouldn't be used unless there's some kind of confirmed relationship. Despite of being a part of Tsukuyomi franchise, there is absolutely zero mentions of anything magical, mystical or supernatural, and so it has no influence on the story in this special. Add genres: Slice of Life, Dementia. The whole special is about living the life on a house floating in the middle of an ocean, and there is literally no explanations of how it's happened and how it's even possible. Some characters looks different or acts different, again, without any sort of explanation why. Visual style only cementing this weird sensation with ocean waves drawn in ancient paintings style or flat paper cuts. Just look at some comments in corresponding episode discussion topic and you'll see. From all of that, it's even hard to tell is this still the same universe as in main series, so genres changes are a must. |
