Do the film and the OVA both cover the same content? Or, are they different enough that you can watch both without one feeling like a re-cap of the other?

If they're both essentially the same, then which would you say is more worthwhile?
If they're both different enough from each other, and one hasn't read any of the manga, which would be a better starting point?

They're not the same. I haven't read the manga before I started watching any of the two.

It's better to watch the OVA first, because it explains more as to why they're in that situation. Also, the 1st OVA was really funny (for me anyways xD). The 2nd was so-so.

Then the movie :)
Maybe after that, you can start reading the manga as it explains some shots in the movie.
