| Damn son now that's what you call a powerful song. A song that can break trees down, lol. Nah, it was good. I find it very soothing everytime I hear Kobato sing, just add a background voice from Kohaku and it makes it even more soothing. :3 Okay so I didn't know Kohaku speak tree. Must be some sort of her angel abilities. Also, the heck did I just see tree sex? They went emotional for a tree. Well, it's all good since they value mother nature and such. Very nice for Kobato because I think she got a huge Konpeito from that humongous tree. Also, YEA FUJIMOTO X KOBATO YES. I think Fujimoto's becoming more and more soft after Kobato came into the nursery. :D |

| Did I just got emotional over a tree getting cut down?(Then again, I was pretty emotional over a gondola while watching Aria The Natural) It's quite heartbreaking looking at Kobato's vain effort in trying to dig up and move the old tree... Somehow Kobato's helplessness felt somewhat... familiar... There are things that you really can't do anything about, even if your heart is at it. Kobato would've kept digging and tearing up if Kohaku not stopped her and let her listen to the voice the the tree. I'm glad the tree passed away happily after listening to Kobato's song. Great episode. |

Anyways, Im disappointed there wasn't a new Opening and Ending. Maybe next episode. Also, I didn't realize until this episode that she is always wearing hats. I wonder if she is a demon and has horns. I don't think she is an angel like the other girl since she can't communicate with trees by herself. Kobato reminds me of her.  Not personality wise, just visually. Both wear dresses and have similar hair styles. |

| Touching episode with a bittersweet ending. By the way, it's already fall in the series and Kobato hasn't even filled half the bottle. There's one and a half seasons left. Will she make it? |

| Hearing that song is always so uplifting and beautiful, especially the Kobato and Kohaku duet, so wonderful. That scene with the tree was just so amazing and I was on the verge of tears, probably one of the most beautiful things I've seen in anime in a while. I think many people are missing the point with the whole "it's just a tree, stop crying." This episode wasn't trying to project some "save the trees" message, it was showing the beauty in the simple things through Kohaku's personification and interpretation of the tree's life as well as Kobato's innocent wish to preserve it. Despite not being able to, her feelings were at least able to reach it through her song. If they wanted to make it a whole "the tree is a person too!", they could have easily given it a voice when Kobato put her hand on it and that would have taken away from the entire moment. It was the symbolism and sentiment behind it that counted most. |

| 5/5 A transport has had on me, this episode, so much so that I was going to give away a tear. About everything, goes to the beautiful OST and storytelling that leaves scroll through the events without forcing them. Too bad the drawings and animations do not have this same effect, Madhouse flaw yet on that front. Other mysteries are revealed. I have some doubts that I will mix in my head for a while: Why Kobato never takes off his hat? And where is the place where should you go? Curious! : D |

| Such feels. A sad Kobato is not a good Kobato. It's sad to see Kobato like that, she wanted to save the tree but it had to say farewell. But it wasn't all depressing, Kobato's song sure keeps one at peace. I gotta admit, her seiyuu has been doing such an amazing job. And in the end, the kids get a piece of the tree as well, in the form of new toys. |

| So the Confetti this time around came from a tree, wow! That Ginkgo tree was old though, it was just hanging by a thread, the song freed itself. Damn, that was a lovely episode. Liked how Fujimoto recycled the tree. |

| I don't paricularly care for the singning part, and feel like it's a bit overdone as 3 episodes out of the 13 so far conclude (she gets a konpeito) because of the main character singing (were they all different songs?). Also, yes trees are alive. But... it's a tree. It might have emotions, IDK, but not human emotions. A tree would "think" of survival; the roots, the bugs that live on it, it's exposure to sunlight... Lets say that it thinks like a human, then. There's no way it would enjoy humans playing around it and hold it as a fond memory. Would you be grateful if a flock of ravens decide to make their nest next to your house? And I was thinking, when Kobato tried to confort the tree. Yeah, why would the tree be happy because Kobato says "Oh, don't worry, I'm going to go speak with your executionner, and ask them not to kill you.", when it's made pretty clear that majority's choice was to kill the tree. Also, it holding out till the end made no sense. Anyways, all in all, a relaxing episode as always, I liked it, but thought the whole part regarding the tree was nonsensical and broke me out (yes, having angels and talking plush are fine, and this is not). |
