This message will have spoilers, so you've been warned.

Consider last episode of Il Teatrino, in one of the last scenes when Rico and Triela leave the hospital together, and as they step outside Triela says, 'I thought beating Pinocchio would make me feel better" and she says, 'I thought we were similar', too. After she says those things the frame goes to a word frame, "So Pinocchio becomes human". I presuming that's meant to be ambigous to the viewer, because you can take to mean by being killed Pinocchio became a human, but one can read it, too, as Triela's ambivalence about her feelings now makes her more human, and she already identified herself as a 'Pinocchio', too.
