| My mother liked prince a lot grew up listening to them. Have their greatest hits CD. He didnt let his music be on YouTube, Pandora, Ect. So younger people know his songs they probably just don't know who sang them. Rip Prince. | He even has a Google doodle designated to himself. I wasn't a huge fan, to be honest, but I knew the impact he had on a lot of older people. A lot of people are passing away this year, I wonder what's making them leave so quickly. He was young too. |

His music has been in my life the whole time(mostly without me realizing it until I was an adult) For instance, a lot of people don't know that some songs other artists have sung were either his or written by him. Three songs come to mind for me: Two songs Patti Labelle sang were written by him, Yo Mister and I Hear Your Voice. The other song, sung by Meli'sa Morgan, was originally sung by Prince himself(the song is Do Me. Baby) Not only do I love his music that he performed, listening to him and his music turned me on to other artists that he mentored/influenced like Sheila E., Vanity, Morris Day and the Time, Tevin Campbell(a lot people don't know that they knew each other) amongst others. Prince Rogers Nelson, you will be missed, Rest in Peace. |

| A couple more of his big hits for other people that most will recognise immediately Not to mention also his work with Apollonia, Martika, Sheena Easton, The Family, Jill Jones, Jesse Johnson, Madhouse etc etc etc. And direct influence on numerous bands. In that infamous talk by Kevin Smith he touched on the fact that Prince has a ton of work that has never seen the light of day, including numerous music videos for unreleased songs. Maybe it will now eventually who knows. |
