| You can't. What I do is link to the author in the "More Info" section. Database moderator will notice it and add the author properly. You can write more stuff there if you want to clarify something. |
| If they are already in the database, you go onto the author page and do it there using "add work". So long as the manga doesn't have a one word title you can add it before the entry has been approved, and the approval for the author usually comes well before the approval for the entry. |

| To be honest it's a bit annoying when authors are added prematurely, because then the work will be displayed on their page even though it's not accepted yet and that can be misleading. I wish they didn't do this. |

I wish they didn't do this. On the other hand there have been several times when I've not submitted a duplicate submission solely because of seeing the entry on the author page, so it has its uses. |
