Considering how much Haruhi is interested in the paranormal, I think asking her out is a bad idea in itself. How to impress her?? Hmm... Which place is paranormal? I would say the movie theatres. Hopefully, a movie regarding the paranormal is on and it should work out fine. Although, a better idea would be to an UFO sighting tourist spot or possibly a museum containing extra-terrestrial artifacts. I don't know..

Since Haruhi is interested in aliens and anything else that's out of the ordinary, I would take her to an undiscovered planet or area. Or maybe even a haunted house. Anywhere that she and I can have an adventure together.

I would take her to MY home planet and get married.

I would do the endless eight with her xxxxx times.

It's actually difficult to decide... If I'm taking her on a first date then I'd take her somewhere that would at least merit me a second if not third date... So maybe... I guess the best option would to avoid approaching her for a date, instead create circumstances that would shift her interest into my direction, I.e. save her life, display "mystical powers", stuff like that, and eventually she's likely to approach me, perhaps to recruit me, afterwards I'd make my move, and as for the original question, I'd create a situation that would allow me to show off some sort of power, real or otherwise
