| Man oh man. That Satou. It's rare for me to like a villain, but this guy is just badass. Props to him. Glad I read this thread too, or I would've missed out on the censorship discussion. The manga seems pretty sweet too. Certainly worth a look. Also, Polygon is one cool studio. |
| Loved this episode so much! Very creative of Satou to crash another building into it. Definitely in love with this show! It sucks that when it finishes we will only get what the movies cover and then thats it, I started reading the manga just because I can't stand the wait. |

| aw I was really hoping to see the plane scene animated. They done really well with the alternative though, was wondering how they were gonna replace it. Love how Kei is sitting there eating and watching it on the news. Now that's realism for you. |

| This episode really raised my opinion of this show. The stakes are enormously high and Satou has to be the meanest mofo in the valley of death. Despite being a complete maniac, I really dig having a character like Satou in anime. Anyone over the age of 35 is treated like an old fossil in manga/anime, and having a resourceful, smart, charismatic and ruthless antagonist who looks 60 is downright unique. A refreshing change from the teenage monster stories that populate the medium. |

| Boy that escalated quickly. One has to admit that Satou is pretty badass though. After checking out the manga I also have to admit that I preferred the anime version. Somehow this was even MORE insane imo. |

As you said, it truly was one of the moments that really highlighted how much of a twisted badass Satou is. Just having him 'ride' that collapsing building was plain ol' weak compared to his solo plane crash which really made him the cunning BADASS antagonist he is. I mean logically he didn't even have to be on top of the building compared to the plane where he had to personally highjack it. =.= And the Tanaka scene... gosh I still remembered how I 'realized' his true character when I read that part in the manga. Ugh. These scenes may seem plain in the manga but they hold such vast intricacy to the characters' development, characteristics and of course the message that it brings. Censorship pure gore can be understandable but this was just stupid. |
