| It's really quite baffling Shaft's persistence in adding drawn-out dialogue scenes to their shows, considering the abysmal quality of their writers. The only times when that has ever worked for them was when they followed closely a source material written by more talented authors. Of course, after finding inexplicable success with Bakemonogatari (one of the most boring pieces of media ever conceived) it is understandable that they might have thought so highly of themselves when they sat down to plan this disaster. |

| Too much talk show yeah, was kinda strange but it just existed to set everything up. Tbh, that's kinda a waste of an episode imo, could easily fit it in a shorter time, but it's w/e. Hoping the actual story will be better. |
| Well, this was really good until it got to the end. I loved how it was a TV broadcast, sort of like how Dracula was told thru newspaper clippings and letters and stuff. Really good stuff, until the little girl became a sexual vampire queen. That ending theme image was creepy in a bad way. I don't think I can watch the rest of this. |
| The talk show being the focus of the first episode was surprisingly engaging, considering all the back-and-forth and escalating tension with every discussion. Revealing the vampires there was done specifically to counter all claims they didn't exist from the contestants, and to demonstrate that the vampires in this series are intrepid about living out in the open. |
