| It was OK. As a series it seems pretty sick but the episode was boring because of the first half.. Glad it got interesting from the second half. |

| Well it was a 'Meh' episode for me. The whole game show type thing was a bit boring for me, it didn't get interesting until Mina started talking and pretty boy went all gecko-ie. |

| I found it pretty bad.. We had to listen to some guys blabbering about vampires for half an episode... Also the vampire's true form was like a character from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The manga had a dynamic first chapter the introduction of the characters was cool and overall it was an awesome start. The anime however disappointed me with that beggining.. unless something else is planned to happen in the near future that'll make me change my mind. Some peaople who haven't read the manga, might find the episode good, however for us who have read it the comparison between the two comes almost instantly and unconsciously. If you liked the episode or even didn't skip half of it like I did, and you haven't read the manga yet, you should definitely start reading... |

| That sure was an...interesting way to start a series o_o; I can't say it was really...entertaining to watch the first half of this episode. I respect their different way of starting a series, but it just wasn't as entertaining as it could have been. They really saved themselves with that flashy ending...I will continue watching just to see more of the characters xD |

| I have to say, that first episode was really unexpected. Knowing the gist of things, you'd normally want the first episode to grab attention. I had a bit more of a "huh" factor than a "wow" factor, though I'm hoping that they get to the start of the story next time xD |

| Man, the beginning is cool, the game show I mean. It's funny, I'd watch an anime like that, just about a game show like that. What's up with the raw SFW used for this ep, it looks like the aspect ratio's been change, like it's strected out. And, it's hella blurry! But, that was awesome!!! It got really intense when the camera was going in and out. This show feels very real. But, lol at lizard vamp!!! This show seems like it's gonna be great. The art is nice, would like to see a better raw though to get a better look. Looking forward to more, will probably watch this to the end...Urahara Out!! Sent with Mal Updater |

| Interesting first episode. Mina may have just easily won my heart. Didn't really like how the whole episode was mainly in game show style. Was expecting a little more. Though the ending made up for it. Very interesting can't wait for more (actually may pick up reading this ) |

| Overall the 1st episode was quite well done but I dont quite get the vampire bund thing at the end. Another thing that troubled me was the bouncing boobs when the "queen of vampires" stood up from her chair. I find it absolutely tastless. |

| Ok, I'd looked through the first chapter before, and this is nothing like it o.O I don't read the manga so you won't hear me say 'Omg it's different, you SHAFT bastards' though xP Anyway, it wasn't as good as I'd expected. But I heard Nakamura Yuuichi (yay), so it's good. I'm gonna keep watching, if only for him xP Also, a bit disappointed that there was no OP. |

| Not having read the manga, I gotta say it was a solid first episode. Not what I was expecting with the variety show setup, I thought that was really a different and clever approach to our introduction to the world of vampires- that seems just like what a Japanese variety talk show about vampires would be like! Also the little girl kicked a whole ton of ass. |

| Hm. Not the best start. The tv show was poorly executed, boobs do not bounce like that, and giant fucking lizards... Seeing as this is SHAFT and it's a short series, I'll probably finish it. And since it's just the first episode, I'm not gonna judge it too much, it's still got potential. Maybe I should check out the manga, though. The story itself seems okay, and I like the occasional badass vampire. |

| I don’t read the manga, but I am little disappointed with this first episode because I am expected there’s awesome action scenes in it. According to some people who read the manga, the first episode failed to follow to manga faithfully, so it was indeed an odd start. Despite these ones, it looks very promising, and I hope SHAFT throws interesting happens in the next episode. |
