What is the status on NaLu?

so, I'm way behind in the manga. I stopped reading at the point when they were fighting that evil guild whose name starts with a T i think and Gray was fighting his maybe father that silver dude. Anyway, I've taken a look at the fairytail wiki recently and it say on there that NaLu is semi-canon. Has anything romantic between them happened since i've stopped reading? and what does it mean by "semi-canon"? like, where in the manga dies it suggest at all that theyre a thing???

Lots of romantic hinting moments but nothing more than that so far. I expect a kiss or some shit soon bc this will most likely be the last arc.

It was semi Canon since the first chapter. It's literally a manga about a girl meeting a boy and their subsequent adventures together. Natsus just dense as fuck, it's like FMP dynamic but with even less romantic focus and a bigger cast.
