So what are the exact differences between this and the original series? Alternate ending yes, but anything else to be aware of? |

Synopsis Shaman King Kang Zeng Bang is a reprint of the original Shaman King series but with differences including the addition of new chapters (which changes the chapter numbering) (Source: MangaUpdates) Er... that's about it. There are only 7 new chapters + alternate ending. |

on the top of that, this new chapters give end to the series, we the final battle ect, and there is a one shot chapter at the last volumen that tells a little of story about hana (yoh and anna son) and give an idea that it may became a new series, but the author starts ultimo and we dont know if ever "hana" is going to take a shot on jump again. |

The only thing bothering me is how they originally were all getting beaten up by the Patch in the old version and suddenly they just beat Patch officers easily in the new version.... No more furyoku restriction, no more Patch songs... it's like an alternate universe essentially.... bla bla bla The endless debate between fans and haters. to hell if i'm reading 300 chapters of the same story..when i start to read shaman king and complete it im setting this series as complete after i read the 6 or 7 new chapters >.<  |

Is there any chance that Viz/Shonen Jump will publish the extra chapters in some form (either as a graphic novel or in the monthly magazine) once they finish publishing the original SK series? I really hope so :| |

you can read the original, and after read the new chapters and not miss anything important, but if you want to read all, in this version, the paints are better. |
