Monogatari Series: First Season
This is amazing, looks like all the fan support from buying Kizumonogatari payed off. But for real? December? And to think people complain about Yen Press's light novel release schedule... I'm still definitely getting it though, their Kizu was slick and high quality I couldn't have expected anything better. |

| December is way sooner than anyone who was hoping for these to get licensed had imagined. I thought, if anything, it would be mid 2017 at the very earliest. Nisioisin's books are long, well-written, and full of word play. You can't really compare translating a close to 400 page LN comparable to a novel to a 150 page light novel. Anyways, Kizu was fantastic, and I believe Vertical's quality will continue on through the Monogatari series. I'm excited. |

| I was always planning to read the Monogatari LNs, and Vertical's Kizu release finally made me start reading. Definitely going to get Bake and all future volumes Vertical releases. |

| This is cool, Kizu is a great read and I've always wanted to give the rest of them a go, but the lack of translated novels in the series has constantly put me off. Vertical are doing some good work at the moment with this and now the Blame! manga too. If the Monogatari Series do well enough hopefully we might finally get to see Zaregoto finished somewhere down the line too, but that might be wishful thinking on my part. |

But I'm not sure why it says 3 on the vertical announcement. Maybe they mean Volume 2 and 3, and count Kizu as Volume 1. I was wondering about that too. It makes me curious how they're planning to release the rest of the novels. The only thing I can think of is that they're going to follow suit from Kizu and release them in chronological order, so we'll get Neko Kuro first, and then the two Bake novels. Other than that, I can't see what else they'd do to make the release three novels long. |

But they've already announced a pending release date for Bake, so wouldn't that imply Neko is afterwards unless they move the date? I don't understand their logic if they've already released Kizumonogatari first, then they should just follow chronological order rather than release order. I'm assuming they weren't expecting the Kizu film to actually finally release, so they were trying to gain people who've watched all the series but never read the novels. Now that it is getting released then they're going to follow the original order I assume. |

| Yay!! This is great news, I thought bake would never get a translation. It's weird how they will divide it in three volumes, I guess they will do it like this : Bake vol 1: Hitagi crab and Mayoi snail Bake vol 2 : Suruga monke and Nadeko Snake Bake vol 3 : Tsubasa cat |

These could possibly also be planned to be used as the cover for the English release. |
