| Hi there! I am currently watching Boku dake ga Inai Machi and really enjoying it. I've not watched many other crime solving/detective style anime's before (and certainly none that involved an element of time travel) but I am really enjoying this anime and was wondering if there are any other anime's like it? Aspects I like about Boku dake ga Inai Machi; 1. The story line is not predictable. 2. Its not a childish/silly anime in any sense (no toilet humor jokes or "guy accidentally walks into changing room/bathroom/hot spring full of naked chicks" etc type moments). 3. Its serious and gritty but not in a "blood splattered all over your monitor" get-your-attention type of way (nothing against gory horror anime's but I feel very nonplussed when it comes gore and its basically not an element that I would watch particularly an anime for). 4. The characters are very interesting and not too generic etc. 5. The anime is well drawn/visually appealing. ...And before you recommend Death Note, yes I have seen that through-and-through :P . I'm not necessarily looking for anime's which are only about crime solving story lines. Rather I'm looking for anime's like Boku dake ga Inai Machi which can entertain an adult and make you think (gripping you with their story lines & plot twists etc). I've watched Death Parade before and I really enjoyed that. Based on these aspects, would you have any anime's to recommend me? |
