| I am currious as to why this isn't more popular or more well known. The plot and story are quite original as well as the geographical locations. Maybe it's more popular than I realize. But there are only a few people who have contributed to the discussion and the polls. This leads me to believe it's not very well known. Could it be because it's not about your typical anime subject matter? I can see it being over looked in the States because anything Muslim is viewed by some with suspicion or even hatred. But that doesn't explain the rest of the world. It's really a shame because it is way above average in all aspects. Yet there are so many sub par or below average animes that are way more popular and have been seen by so many more people. |

| Anime fans generally don't care about world history, and they certainly don't like series that isn't full of escapism or wish-fulfillment. It's a gem of a show, but it's no surprise that there hasn't and probably will never be another season. If only the manga was English translated. |
