How should Visual Novels be adapted into Anime?

For the people who suggest only adapting the True Route, you will have to take into consideration, that sometimes you need some of the character routes for the True route to even make sense. Though I haven't really read that many VNs as of yet, so I can't speak for sure on that part, but I'm guessing that is likely the case.
