| Violence and blood galore, Doom now has a release date, May the 13th this year. If Doom doesn't disappoint, hell, we might be looking at a GOTY contender in terms of gameplay alone. Which I think it's a good thing, it's been a long time since we had a shooter be judged as it is, a kickass game instead of "lack of story, bla bla bla." That is definitely the Baron of Hell and it looks freaking awesome. That should put fan complains that the demons are too "alien-like" to rest. But if you take a closer look at the trailer, there is a sort of mix between the alien-like demons (like in Doom 3) and the more demonish-looking ones from the original games. There's also a Collector's Edition coming out with a figurine of the Revenant included. I myself, put down a pre-order for one but I dunno, I might change my mind if I think it's not worth it. |

It doesn't look that fast, challenging or have that many enemies on screen. Levels seem small and there are quest markers. plus the cover is super generic. This kind of cover goes with any generic shooter. |

| Well, Bethesda already proved that they can make utterly brainless FPS games (with Fallout 4), so maybe they won't fuck this up too much. Nah, who am I kidding? I'm sick of all those reboots. I bet replaying the originals for the 20th time will be more fun. The new one will probably have 100x simpler level designs and some health-regen or other casual crap. |
| Yeah, I agree with some of your comments, guys. I'm keeping an open mind for now, the game is still months away. I still think it would be worth the money for mindless demon killing and a bit of multiplayer madness. I dunno, we'll see. |

| Well, I really liked Doom 3, but it seems this is going to be nothing like it. If it's going to be nothing more but a brainless shoot/gorefest, I don't think I'll be getting this. |
| I just really hope it doesn't end up being like Duke Nukem Forever. It hurt seeing a cool franchise like Duke Nukem 3D die off. I don't think I can stand the idea of Doom flopping either. |
