You can watch a lot of episodes of a show if you like it throughout. Something really long that you like all the way has more merit in the end because it was able to keep you entertained for so long.

The problem with you OP is not that the anime is long, but Naruto went from 7/10 to 1/10 in Shippuden. Watch all of the first Naruto(if you like it) and never move on.
every single one of my forum posts is dumb and invalid except for 1, I don't claim them it was a different person it was all fake

It's called the Otaku power.

Watched 1426 episodes of anime till now. Though they're all from different series. ( I'd probably go insane if I had to watch 300+ episodes of the same anime . I'm not exactly the Battle Shounen guy )

Yeah, I don't get it either. What's even more incomprehensible is how people can watch 600+ episodes of filler.

Also, you can watch these long-running animes in short breaks or when you don't have sth good to do.

In the case of Naruto I like the series in general so when I decided to watch and rewatch it I did it completely (even if some episodes did somewhat bore me) and didn't really struggle to finish, simply because I enjoy it I guess. Oh, and also because when I start something in general I don't like leaving it unconcluded.

Some ppl watched these long-airing shows since the beginning. Surely there's something to look forward to in every episode. I can see myself watching Detective Conan, but then again, I'd wonder what's taking so long for the issue to be resolved.
Naruto Shippuden and One Piece? No, never.

Naruto anime is filled with tiring useless fillers....

If Naruto wouldnt have fillers, I would rewatch even now...

The characters, the plot and subplot are really interesting for a battle shonen.
It would be kinda like Hunter x Hunter....

But the fillers really ruined the anime, imo...

If you have been watching it from the start, one episode per week is not a lot to keep up with. However, a lot of these long anime are just not worth watching.
In my opinion, all of the best anime are 48 episodes or less, apart from a few exceptions.

Quite easily, really. If you like the story and the characters, then naturally you'd want to see more and more. If the plot is always progressing then even if the basic formula is the same, it's not like all the episodes are the exact same as one another.
It's an entirely different kind of flying, altogether!

If the characters are interesting and there is a new fresh experience in a new arc I dont see a problem in watching 600+ episodes of the same anime since you like the characters and want to see how they react to their new environment , the people they meet and the situation that is represented to them . Ofc it wont work unless its an adventure type shounen anime like One Piece & Hunter X Hunter In my opinion , for me Nartuto's first season established The main village and the people in it in a very satisfying way but The second season Came and everything turned to shit so I dropped Shippudden after not being able to endure more

To put it into perspective(about filler), information from animefillerlist

Fairy Tail- 270 episodes, 62 are filler. 23%
Naruto- 220 episodes, 93 are filler. 42%
Naruto Shippuden- 447 episodes, 194 are filler. 43% (and currently growing)
Bleach- 366 episodes, 165 are filler. 45%
One Piece- 728 episodes, 97 are filler. 13%
Detectice Conan- 806 episodes, 312 are filler. 39%

So yes, most shows have pointless filler. Although One Piece has the least percentage, around episode 500 or so the show starts to go at an incredibly slow pace, to the point that people are really just saying go read the manga.

Just watch all the canon episodes and then move on with your life. Or don't. There's nothing stopping you from not watching a show, if they don't look appealing don't watch them.

Or maybe, looking at scores, maybe just watch Gintama, consider watching One Piece, and move on with your life? who knows.

@-CallMeSenpai- is right. It breaks this rule (Trolling, abuse and/or harassment will not be tolerated.). The use of the word "Narutards" is considered abuse, by MAL's definition.

1. FMA 2003 is my favorite anime of all time and everyone should watch it.
2. The better reason, it's better to start watching FMA 03 then watch FMA:B, since 03 has a slower pace and different tone overall, and going from FMA:B to 03 will most likely result in less enjoyment due to the fact that B rushed through a good chunk of 2003's episodes, and dropping it.
Still don't understand why someone's opinion is irrelevant because they chose to watch a remake over the original solely based on your preference, but ok.

yeah One Piece is low on filler episodes but there are like shit tons of dragged/stretched episodes. I'd say its more annoying than fillers since you can skip filler BUT you can't skip One Piece's dragged episodes.

If you're gonna estimate 800+ chapters of One Piece its about 250-300 without fillers and dragged episodes. That's the "legit" episodes of One Piece for me.

Because I like it? it's not that hard. If anything watching long running anime is a lot easier than short ones.

When you get invested in a series you would want to keep watching the story unfold, and see the characters you like. More of something you like is a good thing naturally.

It's easy if the characters grow on you, since you spent a lot of time "with" them. Of course if every character sucks ass it gets complicated to keep watching it.

It depends on how good it is. If that anime is good, watching 400 episodes is nothing because you enjoy it.

I remember watching One Piece, it took me almost a month to finish that 600 episodes and I never got bored. I was excited everyday and I was really annoyed that I had to sleep lol if I could I would never sleep so that I will never stop watching. But that was only up to 600 episodes after that I started to get bored.

So I think it's depends on the story and how much you liked it. There are long anime's that gets boring after 200 episodes but because you already spent too much time watching it's hard to just drop it like that.
