DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I like the way they introduce both Inuyasha and Kagome, seeing that Kagome resembles Kikyou^^ Well, since Inuyasha is now awaken I guess Kagome had to pay extra attention to him and the necklace seem to be working :D |

| The first episode bout the encounter of Inuyasha and Kagome. This was a great episode in my opinion introducing a bit of Keada's backstory bout how Kikio used her powers to seal Inuyasha to the tree. |

| First of all, I have to say that I absolutely adore that OP. Something about it just agrees with me. I remember liking it when I saw a few random episodes of Inuyasha on Adult Swim back in the day. As far as the episode, it was pretty good. It introduced the two main protagonists Kagome and Inuyasha, gave us a general idea of the latter's relationship with Kikyo and Kagome's similarities to her, and gave us an introduction to the over all world. I'm sure this will be built on more going forward. |

| I'm marathoning Inuyasha again and this is will be my 4th time already!! I just really love this anime~ :') I really liked the part, which I still do, when Kagome first saw Inuyasha and was later then fascinated by his ears and started fondling with them even though he was in (deep) slumber. Haha I thought that was really cute. |

| Going straight for the ears. Lewd. I must admit that I would want to feel them too. Dem ears. That was a bit unsettling to say the least... Everything happened so fast. Even that Kikyou appeared and died in the span of a few minutes. That demon was sick though. I really like the centipede design, it creep me out. |

| One of my rl friends that is introducing to me anime wanted me to start watching this. I can tell it's a little bit older than the few other anime I've seen, but I enjoyed this first episode! What's funny is that I've been reading the Outlander book series which is about a modern woman being transported back to 1700s Scotland. So the premise of this anime appeals to me, and I'm curious to see how Kagome handles being transported through the well to feudal Japan. :) Most importantly, this is a breath of fresh air from the more strange and serious anime that I've watched recently. ✿ 4/5 |

| One aspect I like is how since in Japan Male Ranma and Inuyasha have the same Seiyuu, Viz took advantage of the fact that they own both properties tor give Male Ranma and Inuyasha the same voice actor. |

| Nice beginning. But unrealistic conversations. Girls gets ragged into another dimension by a monster, sees it almost destroy an entire village, and it's chasing her, but the most important thing she's worried about is that the guy stuck to a tree with an arrow gets her name right. |
| I want to change the world ♪ What a wonderful experience nostalgia is~ This was a very good intro episode, showing us everything we need to know in preparation for a grand story. Why Inuyasha was stuck to a tree, what happened to Kikyo, and how Kagome entered the Feudal era. So many things happened and it didn't feel rushed at all. |

| Wow! "Futari no Kimochi" is totally giving me some Clannad vibes. (I'm having a hard time identifying exactly which soundtrack it resembles.) I was not expecting the animation to be this great, but now I can totally see the appeal and the nostalgia factor. |

I think it represents a different kind of appreciation. There are things you grow up with which will always hold a special place because of nostalgia, but the flip side is that they become somewhat inseparable from the effects of nostalgia. To watch Inuyasha with fresh eyes as an adult is also a singular experience and there's a lot of unexpected depth and richness in this story, worldbuilding, themes, etc. you may appreciate more on your first go. |

| Finally started Inuyasha :) Italian BD's are finally out. And wow, this looks soo freaking good!! I freaking wish Rurouni Kenshin had BD's like this. My sister couldn't wait for the Yaiba movie, so I told her about Inuyasha and how Yaiba too a lot of main elements and made its own spin. Either way, 160 Episodes + Movies and Final Act. Lots of Inuyasha content to go through! Kagome looks so cute!! Japan really knows how to make school uniforms back then ^^ |

| what that so good in the first episode of inuyasha that it gives so many questions. both on story and characters, for example, once kagome reaches inuyasha, he don't like he hate kikiyo thought she's the one who shoot an arrow on him. truly great first ep. kagome shout: "shouldn't he be the hero?!?" one of the things that start to make inuyasha the anti-heo. |

| So many memories watching this. This first episode really triggered my anime awakening. I think it’s a fantastic entry to the series too. And yes the OP and ED and OST are all excellent. The OSTs are available for streaming I believe, I have the albums on Apple Music and love putting them on shuffle while I work lol. |

| In my version of InuYasha, the OP doesn't have vocals. How disappointing. I just hope the rest of the OST is intact. This looks very different from the Rumiko Takahashi anime that came before it. Consider me hooked. It's crazy that this could be considered one of the OG isekai anime, albeit it's more interesting than the copy-paste template most modern isekai follow. Rumiko Takahashi basically introduced the harem genre into anime/manga with her OG works Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2. And she also created this? She was very ahead of her time. Also, Inuyasha is voiced by Yamaguchi Kappei (Ranma Saotome) and Kikyo is voiced by Hidaka Noriko (Akane Tendo). Great cast. |
