| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Been following the manga for this and the first episode was nice. There's some narrative in the first half and it seems normal at first glance until there's some cryptic foreshadowing. I like the quiet and atmospheric style of the episode especially with the hospital scenes and later. Also found the reflection of Satoru's recent life to be interesting. The elements introduced in the episode establishes his personality along with his family.  Definitely interesting episode. There's a lot of potential imo although I'm somewhat worried because the manga is still ongoing. Still good stuff, looking forward to more for sure. The second half was pretty thrilling.  |

| The main guy has this occurrence that he must go and stop the incident because of the effect from elementary school that he forgot from the guilt. His mother knows about it but keeping it away. The culprit from that abduct came back to do it. 25:20 next. |

| That attitude, that way of think... It's like Hikigaya Hachiman but plus more "active" by having Deja Vu and doing "Preventive" Action or stuff like that. Definitely must watch. |

| And as many have expected.....This is easily in the lead for AOTS just based off of first episodes alone Absolutely brilliant stuff here....Great setup, good characters and already a very engaging and suspensful mystery Epic ED too |

| As a manga reader it's kinda tough to comment on this without thinking of what's to come, but pretty good for an introductory episode. Ending felt a bit rushed, but they more or less did a good job in animating the opening chapters and getting across the info that they needed to. Satoru certainly comes across as somewhat stoic early on huh? More like resigned to fate. Loved his mom being voiced by Conan...how fitting. :D She's great early on, her death and last moment flashback to her son's childhood were still very emotionally effective. They seemed to have Airi's quirkiness down fairly well too. And, as they say, they left off right where the real fun begins! :D |

| A bit rushed but I guess they really wanted to get back to the past. Hope they slow it down just a bit now that the main themes and plot are getting started. |

| Very faithful adaptation. I am gonna enjoy this anime. Has the potential for AOTS if its done right without rushing. Loved the ED and the voice acting. He is pretty good for a newbie. 10/10 |

| Wow, A1 and high quality art almost without shitty CG (excluding last scene in full 3d...) and very sharp general looking like this?! I'm really shocked. So if they want, they can do sometimes which looks great. Btw, I feel that it will be AOTS. |

| Amazing just bravo! My most looked forward to show and didn't disappoint one bit. Satoru's revival is really interesting. That must friggin creep the hell out of a person when they just suddenly go back in time and know that something bad is gonna happen and that u can stop it. I wonder if it'll be explained what triggered his revival to go all the way back to childhood this time or it's just gonna be for plot convenience purposes? I had such a bad feeling the mom is gonna get stabbed. U rarely see moms being that involved in the story. It was actually cool seeing her investigating and trusting her son's "instincts" But even when predicting it the stabbing scene was no less intense than expected. This is gonna be a hell of a ride. I wonder if he'll have to relive his life from that point onward? Damn. Easily AOTS. |

| I was expecting it to be rushed, but 6 chapters in one episode is just too much. I get that they want to get straight to the meat of the story with only 12 episodes, but they're sacrificing the characters a little too much for my liking like this. Still, it didn't feel that rushed thanks to the changes they made and the parts they chose to skip so it's not all bad. Hopefully now that they've rushed this far, the rest of the remaining episodes can be properly paced. |

| Just finished the episode. I will have to rewatch it to really gather more cohesive thoughts. I think it did get a positive reaction out of me. It seems the imagery of red is prominent in this episode, literally everywhere in emphasis. |

Glad one of the shows I was looking forward to turned out great. His revival is definitely interesting. No doubt he'll be saving a lot of people throughout the series.  Quite the shocking ending. I wasn't expecting his Mom's death to happen. She seemed really nice too. Can't wait for next week.  |

| Definitely a very strong start. High school was cute but I doubt we will get to see much more of her. Really curious about this "revival". RIP Satoru's mother. Not the best idea to run away from the police. |

| Amazing first episode! I already knew she was going to die and, yet, my jaw still ended up dropping LOL The anime gave the impact/shock justice ;; They seem to be following the manga faithfully and the visuals are done beautifully. I love how it's very quiet and scenic. It heightens the mystery that they're trying to present with minimal distractions. It also makes me feel like I should pay attention to their surroundings and to read their atmosphere in order to predict what would happen next. Or who the killer may be. Just brilliant. I hope they keep this up until the end :"> |

| A very impressive starting episode, just as I was hoping for. Interesting to see where this goes and who the serial abducter/killer actually ends up being. Also, that ED song (which I'm pretty sure will be the OP from next ep onwards) is great as well. |
| Well that was pretty interesting. I like the concept of this anime's story, so hopefully it doesn't get messed up. This already looks promising, but a lot can happen in 11 more episodes so hopefully it only gets better from here. I understand why a lot of people are already saying this could be AOTS, but come on, it just barely started, and it could hypothetically turn to shit in the remaining episodes. So let's not be hasty here. |

| I did not expect this to be so great, I just saw it on Crunchyroll as a new series so I figured I'd give the first episode a try. |
| As a manga reader, I can say that A-1 Pictures did well with this first episode. They blazed through an entire volume of the manga, but honestly most of the first chapters were aimless and full of filler, so I'm fine with it being skipped over. The hook and concept of the overall plot was introduced perfectly, so I understand why changes were made. What I'm not happy about however is how they changed the aftermath of the murder completely, (Satoru was never discovered by a neighbor in the manga) and how the police arrived literally instantly, but that's just a minor gripe. Overall, great visuals/animation, direction, atmosphere, OST, and voice acting, (especially for Satoru, it's his seiyuu debut!) I just hope that A-1 will slow down the pacing a bit after this episode, I mean they covered 6 whole chapters. It worked for this introductory episode, but if it keeps happening then everything would be very rushed. I have hope for this adaptation, though 12 episodes being confirmed along with the pacing in this first episode has me a bit worried... |
