As much as I like love stories with the typical boy and girl, you almost never see anime(that isn't yaoi) that has one of the main dudes being gay, I find it pretty interesting. Though I understand that it definitely will turn people off from watching this show if they are into the typical romance stories but if it turns out to be a good show, they'll be the ones missing out! :) |

In japan these anime/manga are viewed as niche; usually bland pornography without anything truly meaningful (see past season's yuri show, Valkyrie Drive), homosexuals in Japan are mostly hidden in their closets and have almost 0 decent representation in actual major shows. It's not that different from the west but it's definitely not better. |
