 A TV ad for the upcoming anime adaptation of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! has revealed that an unaired episode will be bundled with the ninth volume of the light novel, to be released in June 2016. The episode will feature the character Yunyun and will be a newly written story by Natsume Akatsuki, who is one of the authors of the original light novel.Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! is a fantasy light novel that has been publishing since October 2013. There are seven volumes currently released. The series received a manga adaptation in September 2014, which is currently serialized in Dragon Age magazine. The TV anime adaptation of the light novel was announced for broadcast in Winter 2016, with Takaomi Kanasaki (Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?) helming the series at Studio Deen. It's almost a parody about that has the died and then reincarnated to a different world setting, I hope the jokes related to the genre don't fly over people's head. That said despite being a parody, Gifting relies mostly on it's dialogue and slightly slapstick based humor. So I think it'll do decently if they manage to nail the humor right. Summarizing, if Deen doesn't fuck up, it will be quite funny, at least it should be worth a try. |
