| In Samurai Deeper Kyou http://myanimelist.net/character/63875/Ieyasu_Tokugawa Is used for 2 different characters in manga and anime. In manga: The man with those looks is Tokugawa Ieyasu, but at start he disguises as Hattori Hanzo, while his position as Tokugawa Ieyasu is substituted by one of his generals (I call him The Fat Guy) In anime: The Fat Guy is the real Tokugawa Ieyasu And the character/63875/Ieyasu_Tokugawa is real Hattori Hanzo It's wrong and silly to have bother characters as one entry, especially when adding pictures for them. So, what would be better: 1)Making different entries for manga and anime (http://myanimelist.net/character/63875/Ieyasu_Tokugawa would stay in manga and different entry with same looks would be added as Hattori Hanzo for anime, and for looks of The Fat Guy we will have something along "Tokugawa's General" for manga and "Tokugawa Ieyasu" for anime) But that leads to having duplicates of the pictures for those characters. OR 2)Renaming http://myanimelist.net/character/63875/Ieyasu_Tokugawa to Hattori Hanzo with keeping his looks and adding an entry with looks of The Fat Guy as Tokugawa Ieyasu with describing their manga/anime differences in Biography. Second way seems more reasonable for me, unless someone can find a better solution. Just second solution has a flaw that Tokugawa Ieyasu disguises as Hattori Hanzo in manga only for a few chapters, he first appears in chapter 23, his identity is revealed in chapter 33 and then he appeared in several chapters until the end known as Tokugawa Ieyasu. Edit: That also causes troubles for their seiyu as http://myanimelist.net/character/63875/Ieyasu_Tokugawa currently has Tsuji Shinpachi which voiced The Fat Guy while Koyasu Takehito voiced Hattori Hanzo (the one with the looks in the entry). |
