| Story + characters come first Usually fan service just gets in the way or adds nothing. In ecchi the point is to just cram as much in as possible and write it off as comedy but there are much better and even smarter comedies that don't even touch the stuff. I think Kill la Kill is one of the few to use it as empowerment or something about duality but most shows don't really try that hard or just stick to harem/dxd rip off |

| Fanservice is cool. I generally don't mind it if there's fan service in an anime, though I'd prefer that it's limited. It becomes annoying though if there's an excessive amount (which is probably why I avoid ecchi anime most of the time) of it or if it ruins the atmosphere in a scene. |

| By now, I have gotten used to it. Though I don't dislike it, sometimes it's excessive and just ruins the anime. Specially when they decide not to show the story just for the sake of fan servicing. |

| Don't go over the top with it Don't do it during a serious scene Don't do it only to kill time bc you can't think of writing anything else Fanservice is alright in moderation but in a lot of "serious" series it starts creeping up way too much. Don't really care as much in comedy or ecchi series because it's expected in those way more often. |
| I like fan service when there's an actual reason for it, rather than it being forced onto whatever story there is. When there's some shitty reason made up, like "The air con isn't working so we all need to walk around in our swimsuits" (Gokokku no Brynhyldr I'm looking at you..) it's just really shit. Ends up detracting from the story. |

| I don't mind fanservice infact I like it. As long as its not mood breaking or makes me uncomfortable Im ok. I like fanservice more so for comedy, infact Haganai did this greatly and it's one of my all time favorites. |
