| Somehow the ending was kinda sad for me. Like Suou forgot 'bout Hei and July, but still she was able to live there with her parents ;__; Overall, it was 8/10 from me. |

| Seriously WTF?! I didn't understand wtf happened in this O_O! Suou lost her memory and 2 Yins, Hei got his powers back and killed Yin or did he? Gah....Kirihara on the run with Madame Oreille in the flying car x_X and then Yin alive at the end?? WTF?? I need to re-watch! I loved the series but the ending is just...hope the OVA clears some stuff up and hope for another season... I would have given this season 10/10 but because of the WTF ending i give it 9/10 |

| uuh...ok season 2 ends exactly like season 1 give or take some weird sh!t that had no reason to be there (like Suou...who the hell came up with that annoying character?) Let's see why: showdown at the Gate core and imminent destruction of the world...check Hei used his power at the very last minute to stop the destruction mechanism...check Hei's previous love interest vanishes into another dimension so he can go on...check Kirihara witnesses the weird sh!t happening and lives on to deliver a cryptic "tomorrow is another day" remark...check All in all, I'm more confused than disappointed here. This season should have been about Hei and Yin running away from the Syndicate assassins. Instead we get a show that focuses on all the wrong things.S1 was great and I really cared about what happened. S2 failed in that without actually being a bad anime. And oh, Yin *is* alive because this is the Gate and all wishes come true. See? The upside of lame-ass open-ended episodes. :p |

I think it really makes sense. Still dont get the birth thing though. Yin did die even shion . Basically no one could decipher Ambers message. |

| Slightly confusing ending especially with that male Yin, but I still really liked it. There was just something about it that made me push this up to a higher rating than I was planning on giving it. Shion probably sacrificed himself at the gate so that Suou and their parents could live happily. As for the person who's looking after Suou, most people think it's Hei, but I'm quite sure it's Shion. AND we got a Hei x Yin ending. Of sorts. Misaki really looked awesome towards the end. I think I actually like her now. Also, was that a gap in the Gate I saw towards the end? Interesting. Now to wait for the OVA, and dream of S3. |

The only way to do a copy of earth is where my theory stands: multiple copies of Shion to use up power after power until he would die then use another copy. | Lots of questions unanswered resulting in possible sequel.... check Close to zero character development... check Story and characters as thick as a4 paper... check Bones failing yet again with anything beside audio/visuals.... check Overall, nice no-brainer series 7/10 |

| Well an overall happy ending with enough of an open ended ending that it leaves the next season a possiblity =], but why the two yins at the end =O? I also wonder about who the boy at the end is. But I guess all this or some of it at least will be answered next season if there is one. |

| I don't know... First of all, I had to read some comments here to understand what was going on: I hate series that don't give you enough hints but just pop out some stupid deus ex machina and voila. But this happened in the first season too (although at a different degree), so I expected it. What bothered me the most was the feel you get from the series: it's totally different from the first season! We get some new characters, but none of them is "spiritually tense" as ANY of the contractors from the first season. They just took all the characters who didn't die from the first season, added some random cardboard characters and a plot made of twists only. And don't tell me that the new characters were good: they were uninteresting and with almost no depth. Where's the noir feel that made DtB so moving, so good? It's not that bad per se: it's bad as a sequel of DtB. This feels like a spin-off: the feel is wrong, the setting is awkward, the plot seems badly sewed and all the new characters die. I hope the continuum will settle a bit with the OVAs. Until then, this is a 7/10, because as I stated it's not that bad, still it's far away from its prequel. |
| Although many questions still remain unanswered, I think this Ending is greater than what I had expected. I was afraid like hell that Hei would die, thank god it doesn't happen! And this Ending isn't so tragic either (at least the main characters are still alive and kicking, whether they are illusions or copies or whatever)... ... ... ... ... I take my words back. I want a Season 3 right now. WTF has happened to Hei and Yin? BONES, I know you have done a great job, thank you very much. But you know what, this SS is way too short and it doesn't make me feel satisfied one bit. I want more!!! T_T |

| Shion copied the planet ... Shion copied yin.. That copy is a boy and still taking contractors soul or whatever... Misaki became stylish syndicate member (why now?)... This syndicate is different and i didnt get what the hell they're doing... In the new world Shion is a boring happy ordinary girl (hate her much more now)... July is...yeah yeah he must be happy.good kid... New gate is opened (where?middle east?) bla bla bla..Ok i accept them even though i didnt understand how the hell all these happened..but just at least show what happened to Hei and Yin.. The thing that made most disgusted in whole series is Misaki's "I know he's alive bla bla.." crap about Hei They didnt answer anything at all =_= |

| That was terrible ending. It`s like the whole thing was to prepare us for season 3, or worse - like a longer ark then the 2 eps ones from the season 1. I`m not sure that I want a continuation - it can go only down :? |
| I wont accept this annoying loli story, Pinker than Pink: Ryuusei no Gemini with Hei as side character as a sequel to Darker than Black. As a stand-alone title it deserves 5/10 for massive plotholes, but for what the authors have done to awesome action-adventure title with deep characters I give it 2/10. (Call, me a troll or whatever you like, this title is the biggest dissapointment I've ever had in anime) |
