We've all felt it at one time or another (at the time of this post, I was "hungover"); that empty feeling you get when you make the mistake of binge-watching an anime or when one finishes and you have no idea what the hell to do with yourself. I'm curious to hear how others deal with it. For me it usually goes like this:
1. Finish anime
2. Sit there wondering what to do next
3. Keep replaying the opening/ending theme while crying manly tears
4. Make a thread on an myanimelist.net wondering how the hell to get rid of this soul sucking feeling
5. Feel proud of plan
6. Repeat

Yes. My hangovers tend to last weeks though.
Be thankful for the wisdom granted to you.

I binge watch and take a break, go on with my life, come back to anime for a short time and resume as normal.

Hah. Guess I'm lucky then. Mine are usually only for a few days, then it goes away.

After finishing Cardcaptor Sakura a few days ago I felt a bit weird. The following two days I only watched three episodes of anime, all from seasonals, and yesterday I read 15 chapters of Dagashi Kashi. I watched the first 6 episodes of The Seven Deadly Sins today so I think it's safe to say that my hangover is over.

I feel sad every time an anime I'm enjoying ends, too, but I just look for another engaging anime to watch. It's really all I can do.

no. never happened. at least not yet.

but i have experienced thinking about an anime i've just seen while looking at one, and completely ignoring and/or forgetting what happened to the one i'm looking at, so i'll be like "Wait, how'd he get there..???" and i'd have to go back.

I just sleep when that happens and I'm ready for the next anime.
