They should, because of the people who like and watch them. Nothing worse than when I watch an anime, I like it, and just when it gets good - bang, no more episodes.

I respect your opinion as long as you respect mine.

Every anime ever made ever should at least get the chance to tell a complete story. Or at least attempt to.

Some anime deserve getting a sequel more then others deserve to even exist as a show.

And TBH even if the ending of a show could be non-canon relating to the source as long as they do it right then there shouldn't be anything wrong

Glasslip obviously need a second season because it felt like the story started in episode 12.

Because most seinen and josei anime are to promote the source rather than make money on their own they tend not to run for too long. This means that they won't have fillers but it also means that there isn't that much content. I would like my favourite seinen anime to get more seasons, but I won't be too disappointed if that doesn't happen. Most of them already have a sequel and it seems like it's fairly rare for seinen anime to have more than two seasons.

I think so. A lot of times they cut the anime off and leave things unsaid. 13 episodes isn't a lot and that's what most of them get. Some are left perfectly fine, but others I believe should.

Hey OP want to hear a better idea? How about complete stories. No incomplete "read the source" endings. And no slapped on second seasons. If a show needs one more season to finish it's story then sure, better for it to finish than be incomplete forever. But either adding more and more seasons with no end in sight, and shows that end incomplete are an issue.
Brace yourself.

Soon as LotGH 2017 comes out. The anime community is going to become so cancerous you will need to take cover and hide.

Not Mahouka.

OT: Many animes deserved 2nd season. Others, not very much (though a second OVA of Mars of Destruction will be godly).

If they did well, yes. But if not, the studio would probably lose a lot of money making another season, so in that case no.

Honestly if it's something like Magi and has an original ending that will just mess up the other seasons, then no.

There are a lot of anime that didn't get sequels but definitely needed/deserved them.
idk why I was here but I'm prob back to playing Dragon's Dogma 2 again when you read this

If the anime didn't cover all of the source material, then yeah of course. Things like NGNL not having a sequel make me sad.

^^^.

It's annoying how some anime doesn't really "conclude the story" and make the ending look like there's a sequel that will never show up.

Its a major problem nowadays, most animes i saw are good but the End was always or most of them fucked up. Also i would to see 2nd Seasons of some older Animes i watched, like GTO, or Golden Boy.
But also the newer ones...

Most shows in general deeserve at least two seasons. Some shows get better, some get worse. It's really hard to judge the quality of a story off of 10-13 episodes.
