I don't think so. Thus, it's also very hypothetical. There are different sorts of niche. It depends on the shows you like in specific. However, there is no bad niche, neither there is any generic niche as long as you can properly articulate why you like shows with substandard elements. But there's indeed good and bad taste. If you can't admit that, it is likely that your taste itself is niche. Also, watching more anime regardless of good or bad quality doesn't mean you have "better taste," but a lot of experience instead. It's not necessarily what you claim it to be. |

| I'm going to be real here, since everyone else is pretty much lying or avoiding the main question op was asking. So here goes. At first when I started following the anime community, which was in 2013. I was pretty annoyed by the constant hate especially towards snk. I wasn't use to this hostile environment. Lol because prior to 2013, I didn't go to places like anime forum or youtube or anywhere people are able to post their thoughts on a particular series. So I legitly didn't know what anime people like or dislike. But now I'm way more chill than what I was a few years back. I would say the constant negative opinion towards my favorite series for the past two years has desensitized me somewhat. I Still would be a bit tick off when I see people giving my favorite series. "not only talking about snk" a low score or talking badly of them. But its pretty hard not to have some negative reaction to that sort of situation even if its small. So yea, I've mostly gotten over it. And so the constant hate doesn't bother me like how it use to. mayukachan said: Superior. Because that means your taste is better than most peoples'. So you're telling me this is how the sword art online fans feel when their favorite series gets a lot of hate everywhere? "superior"? |

| When I first watched Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi I loved it and it quickly became one of my favourites but since I had heard nothing about it before, I inevitably looked it up, what I found was disappointing. Now it just makes me feel sad that not many people share my love for the anime |
