| Well I did as I should have, and searched to see if it was already suggested and it was, and the idea of having a section just for light novels was shot down many times and I can understand why. My suggestion is, however, that they perhaps rename the "Manga" section to something a little more encompassing of reading material such as "Manga/Novel". Then it would also be able to include other forms of novels such as Visual Novels and so on. Because I prefer to read light novels over manga, and having them listed under manga alone doesn't feel too right. And it is somewhat of a deceptive representation of my interests in a way. Well... it's just a suggestion. |

| Yeah, it would be good to have a more appropiate name. But VN-s are not in the database because it would be hard to keep it up to date with the current MAL mods .And theres VNDB for that. (I don't understand why we can't have some kind of collaboration tho') Also if we name it as "Manga/Novel" its still not the best, because there are more groups in it (and there would be complains about why "this" and not "that"). And it would be stupid to name it as "Manga/Novel/Manhwa/Doujin/and other stuff". Maybe "Literature" but this way it would sound too stiff. |
