Well, it seems to be a CSI kind of thing :P
Really nice so far. I just hope they work on the mystery/thriller on the next episodes, Sakurako having the answer for all the crimes so easily...it will get weary/monotonous.
Plus, she kinda have a Sailor Moon moment before analyzing the corpses. Funny, but already feeling repetitive n_n

Something i really liked was the visual. *Attractive characters and scenario*

Not crazy about the transformation scene as it kinda kills the mood that the show builds up so well.

The show itself is pretty hammy and cheesy but I think it works for it fairly well. OST is top notch (11/10 ED) and animation is pretty good. Ep2 actually had me in suspense there for a bit, though the story so far isn't anything exceptional (still early, though!).

Definitely the surprise of the season for me so far. It's not perfect but it's definitely entertaining.

Oh, the people talking about high school girl conveniently strolling by... if you found a girl at a convenience store and you didn't know who she was, wouldn't you consider a park near the store she was found at a pretty good place to camp out in hopes someone would recognize her?
My lists are way out of date...

So the main mystery is about this guy who makes people seek for "butterflies".

PS: pls don't do this "let's solve the crime scene" "intro" anymore rofl.

its clearly applicable to this case.thet cop must use him pistol

Does a low rank cop in Japan in a small neighborhood even have a gun?

She actually called him Shoutarou for a change! Good episode like the last one, I'm glad the cop survived, he was cool.

The show is really a mixed bag for me. Some aspects like the mysteries and how the crimes are solved is good , while other plot conveniences really take a lot from the show.

I have never in real life seen a case where any civilian was allowed anywhere close to a crime scene (Episode 1). Or to follow a child that has been in custody to a potential crime scene with blood that is involved. Under normal police procedure the child would have been handed over to the police and that would have been the end of it.

No police would have been willing to accept advice from a total stranger. The cops themselves get portrayed as idiots and useless , while Sakurako effortlessly solves all the crimes. In real life biological testing etc. would have been done on the blood on the backpack.

Also why was the man mysteriously back just when they were in the house? What point is there to that. Why would the man return when he didn't get any money in the first place to buy his drugs.

I really want to like this show , however these type of things really drag down a lot from the show.

I'm enjoying the episodic feel of the show even though I usually don't like those and I'm looking forward to see who that boy is and what is exactly is the connection, most likely her brother or something... While the OP and ED have beautiful visuals neither really stood out for me.

ep2 already went beyond my expectations!
this just keeps getting better and better.
I like the very fine sharp art of TROYCA.
VA of the child Ii-chan is really also a child!
5/5!

WOW! Just wow! That's a great episode! Who is the little Soutarou? Why did the killer killed the woman? Yet to be answered. Anyway female lead is superb, full of my kind of wife material :-D wish the male was better looking, specially Syaoran type.

Oh god.. The second episode and I have to bear through with a kid involved.. There are not many things that are as annoying as that. It's worse than watching moe, this is a step down that path with annoying kids. Ugh. Why are you testing me?!

The mystery is kind of cool, but it feels shallow with an episodic format like this. I hope a bigger mystery will pop up soon enough.

Shoutarou is definitely Watson to Sakurako's Sherlock.

Judging from the opening and these flashbacks of when Sakurako was younger, we'll likely see why they click.

Are the police always this dumb.

Yeah, that's what's keeping me from a 5/5 as well. The less experienced policeman thinks the handprint is paint, but surely the more experienced one would have seen it as well. Last episode's detective also made a fundamental mistake about the drowning.

Only explanation I'm coming up with is that this is a small remote town, so the police are inexperienced. Of course, with all these dead bodies popping up... :D

i think from the op sakurako had a brother and he died when someone attacked them possibly in their home?

the fact that this might be episodic is rather interesting. i wonder how many different cases and how would they tie the over all plot in.

Lmao. The wimp MC conveniently got a black belt now? Doesn't fit at all with that body and attitude, exactly like the MC from Blue Eyes who does nothing but f*cks all day yet beat the crap out of bad guys then name himself black belt martial artist.
To be honest, the scene would be great if he was NOT black belt, save the day just by pure courage.

That cop was completely incompetent, but I guess he had to be for the MC to save the day.

The MC explaining and elaborating on every single deduction and action Sakurako makes and takes is a bit insulting. It's not like it's all very complicated in the first place.

Another impressive episode in showing Sakurako’s investigative skills. I just wished they just made her a detective so it’s justifiable how she gets involve in solving these cases because making a civilian completely involve in a case where there is a missing girl with human blood in her bag and letting her investigate a murder scene is so unrealistic.

Her grandad was a professor who helped on cases.

The officer that we see knew of him and knew his reputation and came to the conclusion that female mc would be wise to listen to her,

Hence why she is allowed access on a crime scene despite not actually working for them they could just call her a consultant and it would be fine ,

It's like in the Sherlock series he isn't actually a detective he just consults with the police and they ask him for his help etc I would take a guess as say sherlock kept showing up at crimes scene's when he shouldn't have been as well

Omg I love this already. The opening shows even more mystery and the past of the characters, already beginning with Sakurako's loss.

Aside from some weird facial expressions and that part where Sakurako gets into her investigation mode, I love everything.

Oh...
I've seen maybe 2 iirc mentioning the latter part of this trauma in shows or randomly in the news, but I've never seen someone mention twisting of the arms Chinese burns. Great thanks for reminding me of something I already knew, anime.

Also, my mother brought it up out of the blue ~5 days ago and asked me if I remembered... I had a bit of courage to say yes and say I remember it was her who did it. She was just smiling from beginning to end, she takes pride in it, and finds zero problems with it even to this day. How lovely.
Chinese burns really do not need a lot of strength at all to do such, all you need is the grip and the twist becomes incredibly powerful. At least the guy has a problem that can be fixed (probably not with the brain damage that comes with drugs), and it was a complete stranger... it's better than knowing your parent would even abuse you sober with full mental capacity.
