Confused about episode 7

Ok, so I'm a bit confused about the details of what happened in this episode.

How does Chris absorbing both Haruna and Eu's power returns both Haruna and Eu's powers to normal?
I watched a bit of episode 8 and know that both Haruna and Eu are back to normal. Eu can't speak and Haruna remains powerless.

Since Haruna and Eu are back to normal, why does Ayumu keep saying that Chris stole Haruna's powers in the beginning of episode 8? Shouldn't it be stealing Eu's powers since Haruna is powerless since season 1? And if she did steal Eu's powers, why can't Eu speak like when Haruna absorbed her powers?

If Chris absorbed Eu's powers, why can she speak and show emotions without feeling pain? Yes, she has the ring but that ring does the same thing as Eu's armor, which is preventing magic from getting out of control, if anything that ring should be less potent.

Edit:
Okay, I'll just try to solve the 3rd question by just assuming that the ring works in letting Chris speak despite having Eu's powers, and for some reason unknown Eu can't get one of these rings despite her stature and has to settle for those bulky armor instead.

Well first of all this is part of the series' charm. It's overly ridiculous so you've to suspend your disbelief of whatever real-world logic we're attached to. That's why they went meta explaining in the blackboard.

So it's a mix of Chris' blame + further spoilers from both the remaining episodes and the novel. Just remember that some LN's adaptions might feel organic at the beginning but when ended before it's original material it take the wrong way and fucks everything up.
