 It was announced at Sunday's Arslan Senki (TV) event, Yasashuiin! Carnival, that the series will receive a new TV anime production in 2016.The Arslan Senki TV series is an adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's manga rendition of the semi-historical epic Arslan Senki by Yoshiki Tanaka. The novels were previously adapted into an OVA series between 1991 and 1995. The TV series ended its two-cours run in September 2015. | It says new TV anime, that almost sounds like a reboot, but why would they do that so soon. Although I'm not sure if that's what they usually say when they announce a second season, but why put "new" then. But since the bgm is from the series, it probably means season two. Well either way, it's nice to hear about more Arslan Senki. I enjoyed the first season. |

| Assuming this is a direct sequel, then I don't mind this. While I didn't find the first season of Arslan amazing, I did end up enjoying it a bit. Hopefully we don't have too many ridiculous moments like Farangis' divine protection or that one time when the horse jumped like 20 feet into the air and onto the back of a moving elephant. I hope the animation improves as well. Also, I actually thought this announcement wouldn't come until the final episode of the new season of Nanatsu no Taizai, so it's kind of nice to see it coming much sooner than that. |

| First season was pretty average and honestly it didn't leave much impressions on me (Arslan's general attitudes in particular made me lost patience very often), even the warfare sequences left a lot to be desired of. But it made my sunday morning enjoyable for two seasons, so whatever. Oh and since the anime's quite caught up the manga, just abandon the manga and go adapt the novel directly. |

| I wasn't expecting this, at least not so soon. I believe season 1 adapted material not already covered in Arakawa's manga as well so I thought they would have waited for that to get ahead. It's basically an adaptation of the novels but with Arakawa styled character designs. |
