Character Design, Chief Animation Director: Hiroyuki Saita (Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru) Script: Masao Iketani (Oshiri Kajiri Mushi (TV) 4th Season), Pierre Sugiura (Barakamon) Studio: Kinema Citrus, EMT² Kuma Miko is written and illustrated by Masume Yoshimoto and has been serialized in the seinen magazine Comic Flapper since April 2013. It is currently publishing and has four compiled volumes in print. Synopsis The manga follows Machi, a middle school student who serves as a shrine maiden at a Shinto shrine and takes care of a bear, who lives on mountain in Japan's northern Tohoku region. The bear, Natsu, has the ability to talk and is Machi's guardian. When Machi explains to Natsu that she will attend a school in the city, he gives Machi a set of trials that she must pass in order to be able to survive city life. Well I cant see this anything like Gingitsune or Barakamon like mentioned here. Those are slice of life where the funny moments are not through heavy reaction and this rely on those heavy reaction. Along with the fantasy related character, its only Kokkuri-san that really seems similar to this. |
