Which one do you think was the BEST our of the seven movies (not including epilogue or other recaps). Also feel free to post other movies you think are almost as good (or tie for first/second place and so on) :) Modified by Salo-Heika, 12-13-09, 9:06 AM |

I'll start this off. In terms of pure action, I think the fifth movie takes the medal here. However, if you consider other aspects of the show like story, character growth, soundtracks, et cetera, then I think the seventh one is a bit better (plus a happier-than-novel ending...IMO). So I'd say it is a draw between fifth and seventh ... the only two that got a 10 from me :) |

Satsujin Kousatsu Part 1 is the best. Very intense and suspenseful episode that literally makes you sit on the edge of your chair, with great character development as well. The episode that makes the best use of the setting, the atmosphere and the characters. Mujun Rasen is clearly the worst. Stupid villains, as if they were taken from some crappy shounen for 14 year olds, so unfitting for a mature show like KnK, and no development whatsoever. Overall, I must admit KnK was quite meh. :/ |

Doh, I really can't say. I've voted for the 5th part because, as kaminakun said, was best it terms of atmosphere and action (the first I've rated 10). I think it's the fact that it's 2 hours long that makes me decide so. With twice the length of the other movies (except of 7) there was just much more room to go in-depth with the story. However, I really liked the setting of the 6th part and the 7th movie is just plain awesomeness in it's purest form! Overall prefer the second half of the series, but it's hard to choose a top favourite. |

A real hard choice. I'll rewatch them all in the next weeks and then come back to this topic. I'll probably either be 5 or 6. |

Mujun Rasen was was the best with Satsujin Kousatsu Part 2 trailing close behind. Araya makes his role as the signature magus of the Type-Moon universe, seeking his goal too save humanity from itself by studying the the very thing he intends to erase. And the incorporation of his magic that Nasu puts into his works always draws me in with its nonsensical yet logical elements. Satsujin Kousatsu Part 2 had alot of merits of its own such as the philosophy of what makes murder and a delve into Shilki as a character. I can't find a genuine flaw with it personally but my Type-Moon fandom just has me enjoying the universe created physics of Mujun Rasen more. Now that I think about it, Mujun Rasen is similar to Fate/Stay Night with its use of magic in the Nasuverse and Satsujin Kousatsu Part 2 was similar to Tsukihime with it's use of murder and the mentality of the characters in general to a degree, which is weird to me since I like Tsukihime more.... But maybe I'm just drawing comparisons where there are little to none. |

The 5th one was my favorite. Although the latest has also left me amazed therefore it's a close second. Each installment was beautifully interlocked with each other. |

I also enjoy Tsukihime more than Fate/stay Night. Therefore, I like Satsujin Kousatsu Part 2 just a tiny bit more :) |

For picking which of those two I like better though, it's a tough call. I'd say Mujun Rasen just edges out Satsujin Kousatsu 2, but it's to the point that I have to start nit picking to choose. |

IMHO 5=3=7>4>1>2>6, but I rate it all 10/10, because it`s the most beautiful mystic-action anime. Epic saga KnK and Ryougi Shiki forever in my heart ^^ |

3>5>>2=7>6=1>4 , where 4=8/10. or atmosphere>psychology>blood & tits>romance ;) don't get me wrong - i liked to watch Shiki/Koktou relationship and it's complexity but enjoyed other elements more. Modified by GuroFX, 12-14-09, 5:40 AM |
