The 3rd is the only good one, all the others are fine to very bad. 1) Kara no Kyoukai 3: Tsuukaku Zanryuu. Score: 7/10 (Enjoyable, decent characters) 2) Kara no Kyoukai 4: Garan no Dou. Score: 6/10 (Nice fight between the 2 Shiki) 3) Kara no Kyoukai 7: Satsujin Kousatsu (Part 2). Score 6/10 (The drama was decent, too much drooling though) 4) Kara no Kyoukai 6: Boukyaku Rokuon. Score 6/10 (Decent arc, nothing important though) 5) Kara no Kyoukai 1: Fukan Fuukei. Score 5/10 (Random shit happened, eye-candy) 6) Kara no Kyoukai 2: Satsujin Kousatsu (Part 1). Score 4/10 (Why do they throw random drama when we don't give a fuck about the characters?) 7) Kara no Kyoukai 5: Mujun Rasen. Score 3/10 (It's funny that the most overrated movie is actually the worst one. It's like a compilation of all the bullshit that happens in this series with a random story with random enemies. Good thing the animation and sound track saves this from being unwatchable) ![]() |

Tier 1: 3 > 5 > 6 - Five had the most awesome moments of the series, but was probably half an hour too long. Don't hate on 6, it was solid, if a departure from the first few movies. Tier 2: 4 > 1 - I feel I should give "1" another rewatch now that I've seen the set; maybe I missed a few things the first go-around. Tier 3: 2 > 7: I found these two to be by far the worst of the lot. All I ask is to be entertained, and these did not do that. I found Shirazume to be, quite frankly, lame at best, and for him to hold the story up as a villain was an idea that failed miserably. Back when Hayate the Combat Butler was at its funniest, it was about the characters, not their relationships. Stop by and remember some hilarious characters over at Fumi Hibino's House of O_O! |

Hands down it is the 5th movie, it had the best music, most interesting plot, and had enjou tomoe which i think was a decent character and honestly mikiya is kinda boring lol and i know that may piss off some fans. this is just my opinion though Modified by aloper, 06-19-11, 10:22 AM |

My favorite is the 3rd movie, closely followed by the 1st and the 7th. |

5>3>7>1>4>6>2 5th because it has the most amazing fight scene and interesting plot twists, plus fantastic characterization and music overall. I rated 7th as inferior to 5th and 3rd because the antagonist didn't pose as much threat as the ones in 5th and 3rd, when it was supposed to be the final installment. The 7th is more of a character development I guess. And 2nd for the last because although it is very necessary to the plot, it was kinda boring at some point. ![]() ~ IA- Aria on the Planetes ~ Vocaloid V3 voiced by LiA (Clannad Afterstory, Angel Beats! theme song singer) |

The fifth movie was the most memorable mostly due to the excellent direction but I found the seventh the most entertaining. |

7 really did it for me; what an ending to an amazing series. Next up is 5, which was just wow. After that is probably 3, the Fujino story was great. Then 2, which gave us explanations and a backstory, and I just LOVE explanations. 4 is next, it wasn't THAT special but it was still good. Then, 1. It was extremely confusing, but still better than 6 - easily the worst one. Azaka is extremely annoying and I didn't care for the fairy stuff at all. tl;dr from best to worst: 7, 5, 3, 2, 4, 6, 1. |

The fifth movie is the best for me....it's like the epitome of the whole series. Blood & gore. Intense action scenes. A mystical plot which I still don't fully understand. Awesome soundtrack. Funnily enough, the second half of it actually made sense when Souren reveals why he did all that stuff to Fujino etc, so it's obviously the climax of the whole series. Until then, I'd viewed the other episodes as separate cases of what Touko, Mikiya & Co do at work. |

5>7>3>1>2=4>6 Paradox Spiral is definitely the best, fairytale is definitely the worst. All of the others are more or less on the same level of awesomeness. 10s for 5, 3 and 7. An 8 for the sixth one, and 9s for 1, 2 and 4. |

5=7>3>1=2=4>6 I personally consider 5 the best from a cinematic perspective, but 7 pretty much captured the essence of the whole series so it's a tie in that regard. 3 was a brilliant standalone story while the rest worked well in developing the story. 6 was in no way bad, just a solid entry overall in what is essentially a brilliant series. 5 >> 7 = 3 > 2 > 4 > 1 > 6 For me it's not even a fair contest, the 5th is by very far my favorite. Amazing movie i every way. The third is very good and ties with the 7th when I consider the difference in runtime. To be perfectly honest, the 7th disappointed me a little. It's not that's it's bad, no that's not it not even close, but from its ranking I was expecting to have my mind blown like in the 5th. |

7 > 3 > 5 > 2 > 4=1 > 6 7 was the best. It was such... oniristic. Scenes like Mikiya in his way to Ryougi Mansion or Shiki wandering in alleys has so much climate. I think Satsujin Kousatsu 2 has also the mest music and graphics in all series ( even if they are comparable in these therms ). It was a great conclusion to series overall, also had an amazing ending (last scene before credits and this after them). Shirazumi was an entertaining persona (his psychology, being a "maniacal murder" his connection to Araya, and awakening of the source), but I didn't like his drooling (too disgusting). 6 felt like a filler to rest of the series, starring supporting character. Story could go on without this film (but has beautiful graphics and music as well) I gave 9 to seventh movie, an 8 to third and fifth, a 7 to first, second and fourth and only six to sixth. Had problem with Satsujin Kousatsu, because it was considerably better than 1&4, but still no match to Musun Rasen and Tasuukaku Zanryuu. (I'd gave a 7,5 if I could) Modified by Ervelan, 08-30-12, 9:42 AM ![]() |
