Especially how current's arc is focusing luffy alone without his crew. This movie's blu ray's subbed really came out best time. Best one piece movie by far. |

Wow, I knew I shouldn't have expected much from a movie that's branched off of long running shonen series, but not only was this movie disappointing, it completely bombed. Aside from the superb animation sequences everything else sucked. 3/10 was my initial rating but since the animation was top-notch I'm gonna bump it up to a 4/10. |

S'pose Nami ate the Slut-Slut Fruit or something? Mixed feelings with this one. It's One Piece alright but umm... I felt like watching a Naruto movie. All that was missing was raseng... oh never mind. Meh whatever, Robin's stupid hot outfit makes up for anything. - TAH "Even those with fortitude have joints." |

The movie was better than I expected. Mostly fun to follow and it was really great to see the crew together)). PS the 'Giant Thor' thing is very Gurren Lagannish. |

The best part of this movie is Robin wearing nothing but a sweater and glasses for the first half. |

I loved this. Just got back from watching it at the Scotland Loves Animation festival in Edinburgh. It felt like One piece, and i loved the storyline. Animation was superb and again, it adds more to my love of One piece. Now all i need to do is buy the BD/DVD from japan.... |

Animation and design were excellent. A long and enjoyable movie, although I did feel that the fight scenes in the end were rushed. This was good but I don't want anymore Nami rescue movies.Made me feel like I was watching Bleach. |

loved the movie, animation was awesome. Wish we could see this kind of animation in the anime series. Also, was it i just me, or were there lots of implications for a nami + luffy relationship? |

Ukyo9 said: Actually, quite a bad movie. I'm stunned that this is a story by Oda. I suppose he had very little decisional power over this one because I don't know how else to justify all this mess. What is this film? Simple: it's absolutely the same as all the other shounen-movie out there. You know the problems of those kinds of movies. You need to put an all long arc in 1.30-2hrs, so it's all so rushed. Maybe you'd think that being Shiki a character related to Roger would make him an intresting guy. Of course not. He is your absolutely transparent villain with no personality that comes, kidnaps a random crew member (never seen that before!), beats our heroes and then gets beaten in return. End of the story. They really needed Oda to pull out this shit? From a tecnical standpoint, the movie also doesn't impress. Bad QUALITY everywhere with disproportioned characters, bad animations and intrusive CG. There's a couple of nice animated scenes near the end but that's all. 5/10, try harder. uhm maybe not the best story out there, but its still very enjoyable. And bad quality? awesome and epic is what i remember of the quality. You shouldnt look too much to the details if you want to enjoy something... Well too bad for you that you didnt like it |

Great movie, but my opinion on Movie 6 being the best One Piece movie stands. It was hard to perceive "Golden Lion" Shiki of being on the same level as Gol D. Roger or Whitebeard since he didn't come off as a very threatening or powerful person. Baron Omatsuri was a much better villain in my opinion, his background story of him losing his crew actually gives you a reason to care about him. I just cheered my head off watching Luffy deliver his final blow to the Baron. While the plot about the evolving animals was an interesting concept, it was pretty much wrapped around a used plot (Arlong arc, I'm looking at you). Seeing how Nami has already been through this almost exact same situation before with being kidnapped and all, it made it harder for me to care about her being taken away once again. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed this was what Oda came up with. Thankfully, the fluid animation and general feel-good atmosphere is what makes with movie great. The character interactions were hilarious as usual, and Robin looked even more delicious. Luffy's "ultimate final blow to villain" was as enjoyable as ever, although the fights with Zoro and Sanji felt a bit shallow and could have been better. Before I go on a rant, I'll stop myself and mark it an 8/10. |

Finally, a One Piece film that tops movie 4. This one's got it all. Fantastic animation, a glorious soundtrack, inventive animals/villains/Devil Fruit powers (what else do I expect from the mind of Oda himself), and Nami's the lead. That shot of her sliding on her short-shorts alone almost makes this film a 10-worthy. The Straw Hat Pirates were amazingly badass in this film, especially in the mafia-styled shootout near the end. Never thought I'd see Zoro wield a bazooka though. Best One Piece film yet. I can't even imagine how movie 11 could hope to top this. Then again, maybe it won't try to and will just aim to be a fun ride along the lines of movies 1, 2, 4-7, and 10. |

Wait, was Brook smoking up in the beginning? Oh god, that explains A LOT. XD Everyone looked so smexy in their formal wear~ Animation was gorgeous, although the story was kinda eh. My mind kind of started drifting off halfway through. Overall it was still a fairly enjoyable movie. |

Very very annoying... It seems Oda was just trying to fill in as much of the stereotypes of the main characters and sticking their signature moves in just for the sake of it. |

Bloody Love Luffy when he Shouts at the top of his lungs, I swear the anger he potrays is just brilliant and still stirs the heart. http://shintai88.deviantart.com/ Just some of my artwork (Total Noob Btw) |
