Remember watching Air Gear quite some time back I absolutely loved it. When it was discontinued how ever I was broken. If I could offer the producers money to pick this back up and continue on for the next episodes like it had I would totally be willing. This anime was great I loved the story so much I know it wasn't everyones cup of tea but man it was one of those animes that set me free whilst watching it. Wish I coulda seen more

Air Gear was an amazing anime.
Sure it had okay animations and sure the ending was shitty since they ended it so abruptly since it was like a trailer for the manga and couldn't continue because it had low views back in the day.
However I want the show to come back especially when the manga ended,

COME ON THE MANGA IS RANKED 43 IN POPULARITY

But I think they should REBOOT AND CONTINUE the air gear anime since the animations were really bad especially since toei animation are usually under budget for doing lots of shows.

It had amazing battles and really good story I loved it. If you want it to continue sign this petition:

@jditty150 that petition is basically useless, unless you can translate it to japanese and actually have madhouse see it....
and doesn't money need to be made for it to work?

is air gear even popular in japan?

Thanks for the input. I tried I just wanted to make a difference in order to get air gear back. Do you want air gear back? You are right about it is all about business for the studios. I don't know about the popularity in Japan, I mean they do have a musical. They also even rebooted the musical I think

@jditty150 even though I know it's pointless, I still signed it for the off chance an MALer is in japan and has connections to madhouse and the sort (maybe Oh!Great! speaks english and lurks forums lol) and somehow it works.

but other than that, as someone already said, anime companies doesnt care what viewers outside of japan wants...

Yeah I know how Japan is in those types of situations. There were a couple of exceptions like cowboy bebop, however we will have to find out what happens. Who knows it might happen from another 10 to 20 years from now.

No I don't, it was a pretty horrible anime imo. Didn't like the characters or the story very much, the protagonist was able to do the things he did just because.

The anime was good. I started reading the manga after but it got fairly convoluted and a bit hard to follow. I would love for the rest to get animated as it might make the 2nd half of the story a bit easier to follow and more enjoyable,

I did read Air Gear mainly for the artwork, which is really fabulous to look at, while the plot's a mess and characters became so unlikeable over time. Adapt it into anime that won't be able to do the artwork justice and you're left only with the mess. So no thanks.

I saw Air Gear so long ago, but I do remember being bummed when it just ended abruptly. Well, D.Gray-man got a continuation after so long so maybe Air Gear has a chance too.

that's not how it works. KYOANI is the one that want to atract them and trying to broad their fanbase. and they (shoujo, yaoi fans) not make any petition to them. any petiton that make by outsider usually useless in general. except very rare and old case.

I think it would be really interesting to see in 1080p too haha. What weirds me out is that they full on got Sub and Dub up until the cut which doesn't really make sense to me.

I know that in the manga there are some plot holes because some of the stuff didn't make sense. Like the whole afterlife thing with spitfire didn't make sense however I still liked the characters

The thing is that for air gear I do not think they should make a season 2, I think they should reboot it because alot of things were cut out from the manga that is not in the anime which are important stuff especially in the behemoth fight. However there are some things in the anime I like better than the manga
Ex:
The first episode was alot faster and I liked the way Ikki was introduced to ats that way.
There were some parts with Nue when he shows up a couple of times when he used his powers which was really cool in the anime but they didn't have it in the manga.
