| Why not? I can see that your fav is probably much better, but we are talking about a big community here and i think most of us agree that FMA:B is really good and well made to the point it can be set as some kind of standard to an anime of its genre, right? Its also very balanced and respected by great amount of audience. I think its ok for anime like this to be #1 because this is great entry show, think of it as an animes business card. |

| I put off watching FMAB for so long because when my ex was watching it I saw a lot of military stuff in every scene I glanced at. Then I watched it (this week actually). I started it because yet another friend told me it was good. IT WAS THE BEST THING I EVER WATCHED FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST IS LOVE FULL METAL ALCHEMIST IS LIFE |

| It's not the best anime ever made, but it's definetely the best shounen out there and it's also miles better than anything else in the top 10 (after LotGH, that is), so I'd say it deserves it's top spot. |

| No, it's not Hunter x Hunter (2011). How the hell am I supposed to know? Everyone will have a different opinion. Most probably think their favorites should be #1, and no way that half the people in the world have FMA:B as their #1. |

| Deserves to be #1 because everyone can enjoy it. It has pretty much everything an anime fan could want. It also does everything right with what it sets up. What is there to hate? |
| There is no singular best anime. Everybody has their own opinions. So, if the point is that FMA:B is the best anime that the majority of people who watch anime have all rated highly then yes it should be there but for that reason, and not because it's 'the best.' |

| It's probably the least controversial or disliked anime ever compared to its viewer count so I guess yes? If it didn't deserve it, it wouldn't be #1 on MAL by such a big margin for so many years despite being one of the top 5 most watched anime on the entire site |

| FMA Brotherhood is no better than the Big 3. It just has an adaptation that rushes through all the small stuff and much better art/animation/music so the casuals think it's something great, ufotable did the same with their recent porn game adapation. |
