Interesting stuff. And interesting to see Saki get a huge boost.

Kingdom's sinking like a stone though, volume 39 might not even make 500k total sales. I'm curious if the series can hold that #5 spot.

AoT's new volume comes out this week, right? Or is it next week?

Well Attack on Titan volume 17 has a cheap limited edition with the kansai version of the first volume, so I can see the sales of volume 17 being equally divided between the regular and the limited edition. Plus Naruto will have 6 days and AoT only 3 days, I guess Naruto will top next week's ranking.

Which is still down the previous Volume, but I guess it was expected with Avatar being FTs worst arc ever.

I hope HQ!!!!! Sells more than Naruto and SNK next week to top the chart, it probably won't though.
Also My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, and Soma are above Bleach in the top 500 chart, hope they continue to rise. Nisekoi is above it too, but I don't care about that.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10K_N1R6l8reAqL4mioBECSNIJ6iqDo2FcouN79dg0Vc/edit?pli=1#gid=1549866658

This is the current Top 10 based on all sales that we know as of the 37th week.

*1 10,016,228 ONE PIECE
*2 *8,035,892 Nanatsu no Taizai (七つの大罪)
*3 *7,002,240 Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (暗殺教室)
*4 *5,137,472 Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人)
*5 *5,000,112 Kingdom (キングダム)
*6 *3,727,873 Haikyuu!! (ハイキュー!!)
*7 *3,243,949 Ao Haru Ride (アオハライド)
*8 *2,917,331 Terraformars (テラフォーマーズ)
*9 *2,640,791 Tokyo Ghoul (東京喰種)
10 *2,579,935 Tokyo Ghoul:re (東京喰種:re)

Kingdom is catching up to Shingeki no Kyojin, but that gap will increase next week when the new volume comes out. Although SnK Vol.17 might do slightly less next week (compare Vol.14 on sale for 3 days vs Vol.16 on sale for 4 days) and make it up the week after.

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Third week sales for both volumes

Volume 49 sold 370,961 copies
Volume 50 sold 347,983 copies by adding the sales of the limited edition from previous week.

The limited edition probably sold more than 60,678 since last week but we can't see it due to the threshold. So yeah the sales aren't abysmal at all.

Since SNK will only release one more volume I'm pretty confident that Kingdom will outsell it this year. Dang, that tv show gave it a boost that most anime adaptations can only ever dream to. Probably unintentionally, lol.

I would've expected it to sell around the same as the previous Shingeki no Kyojin volume that was on sale for 3 days in its 1st week, Vol.14:

*1 -- *,852,757 *,852,757 **1 3 進撃の巨人 14
*6 -- *,158,342 *,158,342 **1 3 進撃の巨人 14 DVD付き限定版

However, one thing I am curious about is if the debut of Part 1 of the live action movie series in Japan on the Aug 1~2 weekend had any effect on the sales of Aug 3~9 week, especially since Vol.17 was released on Aug 7.

So they count the regular edition and limited edition separately? Still, it sold over 1 million copies in the first three days combined O.O

SnK is a freaking best. I'm expecting at least 1.5 million by the end of the year, if not 2 million. That anime did that series so much good, if only all anime could be as beneficial to the series. It's a bummer the series is ending in the next few years, iirc like in 5 years? SnK's become quite the beast of a series. But with all these spinoffs and stuff, I'd be surprised if they don't milk the hell out of the series long after the main manga ends.

It is the reason many people go buy manga. It even adds to others because people look at others after buying one piece. It saves manga.
