How come he moved the mouse to confirm and then clicked enter? And it was so obvious he was gonna be a bad guy...

It's more violent than I expected. That scene where Yu Lan kills the soldier... I mean the way they show us how she kills him...
But I love it, except this.

I'm definitely liking the step up in intensity in the action.

Well I'm glad it was Gates piloting the Venom and not Gauron because that would've sucked. Also, when the younger twin killed that solider damn that was graphic, it even made me flinch a little O_o

Took some time to develop, but the ending was pretty good. And yeah, I've been thinking since last episode that that bad guy's voice actor is the same as Jiraiya!

The focus on the throat-slitting was unexpected... but effective.

This is good so far (I said this about season 1 in the beginning... so I hope it continues instead of a weak middle--->end).

A slow episode. The Bruno guy was kind of an obvious villain, which was a tad disappointing. Still, it was a pretty decent episode. The action continues to be an improvement over season one. I love the stealth nature of the attacks now.

I'm surprised at how gory this season has been so far. That throat slitting was... graphic. Then some poor shmuck gets a knife to the forehead. Then another fellow gets shot in the head. All in the space of, like, two seconds. Scary. I do like how the violence is brief but effective. No spouting streams of blood or anything. This is definitely a change from the bloodlessness of season one, though.

I doubt Mao will die, but she is undeniably in the bad place right now!

3/5 stars. Definitely decent (and, quite honestly, better than pretty much any episode in the first season's second half), but not nearly as enjoyable as the first two episodes. Lets hope the season doesn't really decline in quality.

Quite lovely progress imo, they sure are focusing more on action and mecha but with this kind of development I rather like it! So let's see what's next!

Ehem... that fine detail with the throat cutting. That was really unexpected.

Whilst the episode was slow and somewhat predictable, the buildups was still there. It actually made us think 'what is the enemy up to?'

Yeah, it was pretty obviously a trap from blonde communication guy's behavior. The episode gave off a Ghost in the Shell-esque vibe to me. I'd love it if Mao beat the shit out of that one girl, but she's wounded so I doubt it. Pretty gruesome neck slash, and still very little Kaname!

They couldn't be more obvious
First bad looking guy then pretty looking girl which is pretty obvious the crazy guy "underling"

I like how she sliced his throat but there's no blood
Poor non-important character. he can't even have blood :(

The season is off to a darker start than season 1. It’s a little lame that they got betrayed by another internal member of Mithril like what happened at the end of season 1. It just feels like they are getting betrayed by their own people so many times you’d think they’d do a better job of recruiting or keeping their employees happy. The fact that a random guy they had no real reason to trust other than the fact he’s a member of Mithril also makes it a little unsatisfying to me. If it had been someone they already knew then the betrayal might feel more impactful, but as it is it feels a little contrived. Good episode though, it got me to feel genuinely concerned about how they’re going to escape the trap.

North and south China? interesting. I wish I could see a political map of the world of FMP.

Damn, that twin chick is sexy and brutal in that Chinese dress.

Hmm, I have a feeling that crazy commander is Gauron. lol
