What are your most overrated and underrated anime? Please explain why!

By overrated, by no means do I mean bad. I just mean that it is rated higher than it should, i.e. have a higher opinion than is deserved.

My overrated:

Hunter x Hunter:

All of my concerns comes after the spider arc, so around the game arc is where I think it is overrated.

1. The game arc felt like it was just filler. How many animes do you know where you can take out a major arc and not have any consequences in developing the story? Not many! We were told that the game was never beaten and yet two newbs where able to. At the end it turns out that Ging was a major troll.

2. Ant arc had too much dialogue where the pacing and overall arc suffered. Gon character was changed way too drastically over the death of a character that had barely any screen time.

3. Politic arc was a perfect place to showcase Ging's ability but instead we found out that Killua was hiding a magic genie under his basement. There was absolutely no foreshadowing for that character, it popped out of nowhere. She/He, whatever it is, turned out to be way too convenient to the plot.

Honorable mention: Code Geass.

My Underrated:

I might get chewed up for this lol, but I will pick

World Trigger:

1. I understand why most people will be turned off by it because of Toei but the story is enjoyable and very consistent.

2. Great world building, plot and battle strategy.

Honorable mentions: Claymore, Berserk.

Election arc was pretty good though, felt like classic HxH

Gintama is by no means overrated. It is once in a decade masterpiece that no human can make.
