Hey guys, Shane here from Oregon USA. Long time lurker, using this site for recommendations, finally decided to join. Love the layout of this site, everything is so well layed out. I belong to a lot of forums from the classic cars I restore to science projects, this one takes the cake in how refined it is, I'm impressed.

Anyway, I'm a mechanical engineering student who occasionally enjoys relaxing to a nice anime movie or series at the end of a long day. I started much the same way many of us Americans did I assume, studio Ghibli films.
I find when I watch a good anime it's like reading a good book, I get transported somewhere else, and it's as if I'm in the story. more so than regular movies or any other visual medium. Anyway, I look forward to interacting with the community and furthering my anime experience. Being a unique community, any tips? For example common words used to describe genres, etc? I'm very much an amature, thanks!
