Or maybe you need the thread to be about a certain subject, or simply need the title to catch your fancy or interest. Are you limited to the Recent or Watching lists? Or do you have no limits and just explore everything? Personally, I comment in just about everything minus Forum Games, and I hit up most of my threads through Recent Posts.
